J

I

From the first day she walked through the doors of the Youth Resource Centre, IJ knew she had a connection with the place. The spark in her eyes as she browsed through the activities and programs at the Centre, ignited that inner purpose in her to reach out to young people and be a role model to many of them especially the young ladies. For this reason, IJ volunteered for four years as the Resource Counsellor.

In her role, she conducted her business professionally with zest and vigor, htefnnnb

reaching out to youths from her heart, providing guidance and solutions to some of their very challenging life issues. She was a mother and friend to many, to others she was a role model and a guardian.

Her passion for the development of young ladies led her to commence the Ladies Time-out program for teenage girls. The program is aimed at providing a platform for grooming young ladies with positive virtues and preparing them for the challenges of womanhood. With an average of 30 young ladies at each session, the program has positively impacted the lives of young girls in the community.

Her support for the Centre's activities was undauntedly encouraging. IJ was always there to support in every way, ensuring that events are organized professionally. She never shied away from influencing positive corrections when things weren't going in the planned direction. She was a box of ideas and positive criticisms, bringing about a sincere balance to our mode of operation at the Centre.

The Youth Resource Centre celebrates this lady with a large heart for youth development.
