In those years , there was an attempt to demolish the German Lutheran kirche built by Adolf Eichler in Baku , but it was saved because was used as workshop of the famous sculptors Sabsay , Tokay Mammadov and others . Kindergarten and the Union of tanners were placed there in different periods ( Fatullayev-Figarov , Sh . S ., 2013a ). Today the kirche in Baku is the chamber and organ music hall of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic . This happened after the church was restored with the help of the German Embassy in Azerbaijan and the German company Wintershal . Original architectural appearance of the kurche was preserved after the restoration . The heating system and ventilation were restored ; the ceilings and walls were plastered and painted . Rehearsals and performances by the chapel of Baku Lutherans and other artists are held here . It is curious that “ the first concert of organ music , on which the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach were performed , took the place in the church in 1900 . Subsequently , church concerts became traditional and continued until 1928 ” ( Aleskersadeh , М . D ., 1964 ).

The prevailing utilitarian attitude to the cult monuments of German architects is evidenced by the situation with the use of Lutheran churches in the territories of former German colonies in the regions of the Azerbaijan . Kirches in Helenendorf and Annenfeld have long been used as a storehouse and warehouse . Later , kirche in Helenendorf was used as a gym , which led to the destruction and loss of some elements and details of its interior . Metal boxes were put on marble slabs with a thin carved pattern , ruining all the carvings of kirche in Annenfeld . Numerous cracks formed in the eastern wall and in the large arch . For all the years of its existence , restoration has never been carried out in the church . But in 2013 both churches were restored . Today kirche in Helenendorf is the museum , where you can get acquainted with the culture and life of the German community .

This led to the need to shape the city ’ s image in a short time , erecting new residential buildings and residences of oil magnates , public buildings , markets , passages , theaters and cinematographs . The inspirers and initiators of the “ new ” architecture of the city of that period were a new generation of oil
