Abstract : The history of Russian architecture is closely connected with Italian architects . Antonio Gilardi , Ridolfo Aristotele Fioravanti , Pietro Antonio Solari , who provided impressive contribution to the construction of the Moscow Kremlin . The construction of St . Petersburg cannot be imagined without works by Antonio Rinaldi , Giacomo Antonio Domenico Quarenghi and Carla Rossi . It should be noted that Russian classicism has similarities with the forms of the Italian Renaissance , and the architecture of the Soviet period was formed in line with the Palladian traditions . This article presents methods to study the problems of classical morphogenesis in modern architectural practice . Despite the remote location , provincial architecture is strongly influenced by classicism traditions , and architectural structures themselves may well compete with the capital ’ s architecture in stylistic decisions . The article pays special attention to the architecture , inspired by historical buildings of Saratov , which led to the problem of distorted interpretation of the “ palladian ” canons . As a result , the modern architecture of Saratov is a discrepancy between both modern and classical architecture . This problem is multifaceted and has many aspects to it which must be taken into consideration . In many provincial cities this is becoming increasingly noticeable against the background of a high-quality and competent interpretation of classical canons . The authors believe that it ’ s possible to find a solution to this problem based on close interaction with the “ palladian ” canons .

Introduction
In ages , architecture has been one of the most important parts of our environment . The process of forming architectural styles went through long stages of evolution . Considering the entire chronological process , it can be noted that the traditions of the ancient classical heritage can be traced somewhere explicitly , somewhere indirectly , at all stages of the development architectural styles . Of course , the most striking era of the manifestation of classical traditions was the Italian Renaissance .
The appeal to the traditions of the classical heritage does not weaken in modern architectural practice , despite the search for a new shaping and the general enthusiasm for deconstructive and parametric architecture . The historical and cultural heritage of Italy has always attracted Russian masters . Works of art and architecture , theoretical and practical works of Italian artists , architects , engineers , urban planners fuelled Russian masters in different historical periods .
This paper discusses the process of introducing Italian classical heritage into Russian architecture . The analysis of borrowings of Italian motifs in the capital and provincial architecture of Russia is carried out . Particular attention is paid to the stylistic analysis of modern historically inspired objects in the Saratov-city , their aesthetic value is established .
