inaugurated its fourth
Engineering Excellence
Centre in Kolkata
to generate skilled
manpower and creates
opportunities for
employment. This is
their fourth such centre
after launching first
three in Delhi, Chennai
and Mumbai.
The centre is
an education book
for unskilled youth
of the East (West
Bengal, Orissa, Bihar,
Jharkhand and the
seven North-Eastern
States), who used to
migrate to cities like
Delhi and Mumbai to
garner such kind of
technical, vocational
training, but with the
opening of Victoria,
they bring growth and
learning opportunities
to their doorsteps and
generate employment
opportunities as well.
The centre will provide a
real time experience of
advanced technologies.
The company has
imparted training
to more than 2500
trainees and has
invested more than
39000 Man Hours. The
company aims to provide
technical training to
more than 3000 people
by next 2019. Hitachi
currently offers the
biggest training facility
for single product
category in India.
The company
has created a Sales
Engineering support
wing to provide product
information and
technical assistance and
a Project Support wing,
which ensure proper
quality and workmanship
in installation.
Hitachi being a
premium Japanese
brand is the third
biggest player in the
Indian air-conditioner
market. The company
which has more than
30-years of legacy in the
country has invested
heavily in expansion of
manufacturing facilities
and development of new
product models.
