India Beyond India
eginning this Independence Day, we are embarking on a project
to launch a new platform PROBIZ Int. for business and
commercial community that is contributing to make India the
fastest growing economy in the world – A digital platform to
address all the challenges and demands of a growing economy.
To be the biggest market isn’t an asset in itself unless we attempt
to quench the thirst of this fast growing economy. Make in
India, Skill India and every other effort by the government can
only be as good as the people implementing it, businesses executing it
and the masses embracing it.
PROBIZ Int. intends to address the issues facing today’s India and tomorrow’s
businesses.
The economy of India is a developing mixed economy. It is the world’s sixth-largest
economy by nominal GDP and the third-largest by purchasing power parity (PPP).
The country ranks 139th in per capita GDP (nominal) with $2,134 and 122nd in
per capita GDP (PPP) with $7,783 as of 2018. Lead by the economic reforms of
1991 economic liberalisation, India in FY 2015 and 2018 became the world’s fastest
growing major economy, surpassing China.
The long-term growth prospective of the Indian economy is positive due to its
young population, corresponding low dependency ratio, healthy savings and
investment rates, and increasing integration into the global economy.
India topped the World Bank’s growth outlook for the first time in fiscal year
2015–16, during which the economy grew 7.6%. Despite previous reforms,
economic growth is still significantly slowed by bureaucracy, poor infrastructure,
and inflexible labor laws (especially the inability to lay off workers in a business
slowdown).
At PROBIZ Int. we intend to highlight the challenges, analyze economic decisions
and shed light on the possible solutions in the views of economists, entrepreneurs
and specialists of national and international repute.
Our survey segment will be the voice of the business and consumer community
as we hope to address issues that spell new set of problems; and we intend to go
beyond the problems and look at feasible solutions – be it for government, public or
private sector.
So join us this Independence Day and seek solutions that are within us, by us and
for us.
