Welcome to the June issue of ERSA
Pro Stringer.
First, I would l like to welcome our newest Corporate String
Supplier member, String Kong. Ivan Buff oni came up with a
great new idea for marketing strings and has a very good
assortment of products which our members attending the last 2
Symposiums received samples.

Several racket manufacturers are launching new models at
this time. HEAD just came out with the new EXTREME Touch
rackets this month. Yonex will launch the new EZONE rackets
on August 15. Babolat just announced the new PURE DRIVE
line which will be sold starting in November.
I fl ew over to Wimbledon for a few key meetings this month and
had a mini Annual Meeting with all of our members stringing at
Wimbledon. We will be making some major announcements in
the next issue of Pro Stringer.
ERSA is looking for someone to work in the offi ce in Dussel-
dorf as ERSA offi ce manager trainee. Ideally, an experienced
stringer or someone enthusiastic about learning stringing, tun-
ing and testing. The work includes organizing string tests for
badminton, squash and tennis -
Doing lab tests on strings and rackets for the website,
contacting members for renewals, sending out member
packets, sending out testing supplies to managers, gathering
information from around the world on racket sports products
such as new products, press releases and information from
player associations. Organizing Symposiums, workshops and
testing where ERSA does not have a Manager/Tester.
The next issue of Pro Stringer will be
published August 25 and will be an
electronic issue only.
The new Techniques Section for the
stringer’s manual will be fi nished in
August and sent out to all the current
members as a PDF book, then print-
ed in the Winter in the new manual.
