We are also looking for a new name for the Stringers Digest for 2017-18 Winter. We are running a contest for all the readers and the best name will win a new tennis racket. Please send in your new name to me at my e-mail ad- dress: [email protected] The 2017 Symposium was a great success and the 2018 is be- ing planned for Milano, Italy the week after Easter in April. We will announce this as soon as we confirm the venue. We are expecting over 100 people so please sign up early as we will have to set a limit. We are planning to do small hands-onwork- shops and will divide the groups up so everyone will be able to do each workshop. Milano is one of my favorite cities for eating out and shopping, so I am already getting excited about going. Many of our members are busy stringing around Europe now at Madrid, Rome, Roland Garros and many other tournaments. With all the television specials on the stringing rooms, you can see many of our top stringers in action. Send me any pictures of the stringing rooms with ERSA Pro Tour Stringers and we will put them online. This helps build up our reputation so more stringers can get jobs at tournaments. I was not able to attend the Tennis Europe AGM due to a virus infection the day before leaving. There were many new items discussed including the plans for several changes to Davis Cup and Fed Cup to make them more attractive, especially to the top players so they are interested in playing each year. We hope to have the electronic magazine translated into Chi- nese every issue in the near future. The market is not big enough for most other languag- es but with over 1 billion people speaking Mandarin Chinese, this should be successful with ERSA Taiwan and ERSA China now in position. Best regards Mark Maslowski
