CWG has also responded to customer feedback by switching to the Residence‘ Eclectic’ Astragal bar as standard; a small change that reflects the company’ s willingness to listen to its trade partners.
“ Listening to installers is how we keep improving,” says Dean.“ They’ re the ones out there fitting every day. What matters to them, matters to us.”
Supporting growth in aluminium
As aluminium continues to grow in popularity, CWG has invested in new factory space, increased CNC capacity, and brought in additional expertise to support this side of the business. The aluminium range has been streamlined and rebranded with three guiding principles:
Simple. Sustainable. Compliant.
The products are manufactured using 78 % recycled aluminium, meet all relevant UK regulations( including BS6375 Parts 1 and 2), and are available with PAS24 and Secured by Design options on request.
“ We’ ve built our aluminium offer to be future-facing but practical,” says Dean.“ It’ s not about overcomplicating things; it’ s about making sure installers have a reliable, compliant option they can use with confidence.”
Looking ahead
With the second half of 2025 underway, CWG Choices continues to focus on the fundamentals: quality, service, and supporting its trade customers. Whether you’ re working with uPVC, aluminium, or heritage systems, the combination of product choice and practical support is helping many installers work more efficiently and confidently.
“ Whether you’ re one of our long-standing partners or you’ re just looking for a fresh approach, we’ re here to have that conversation,” Dean adds.

Morley Glass IGU recycling scheme passes major milestones
The success of the pioneering post-consumer IGU recycling scheme launched by Uni-Blinds ® integral blinds manufacturer Morley Glass in 2021 now means it has saved the need for around 4,000 tonnes of virgin sand in new glass manufacturing, and cut the CO2 emissions resulting from the process by over 1,800 tonnes.
The initiative, which was co-developed with Saint-Gobain Glass and represented the UK’ s first successful end-of-life IGU recycling scheme of its kind when it began, involves Morley Glass collecting double and triple glazed units that installers remove during window and door replacement projects, and crushing them into cullet.
The latest data released by Morley Glass shows that up to
the end of July 2025, 3,730 bags of cullet have been generated using its dedicated crushing and bagging machine. This equates to 2,469 tonnes of cullet in just four years, reducing virgin sand extraction by 3,978 tonnes.
The total energy savings to date achieved in the glass re-manufacturing process are equally significant, according to Saint-Gobain’ s calculations. The cullet generation has now enabled 1,340‘ energy years’ to be saved, based on the fact that 1 tonne of cullet saves enough energy to power an average home for six months.
All the revenue that Morley Glass generates from producing cullet goes into the GreenVision fund; used to provide grants to charities, groups and individuals working on projects that will benefit the local community socially or environmentally and, to date, 349 grants have been provided.

|
inception in 2018 and Howard, who spoke at the first two events, said:“ I’ m delighted to be joining the Glazing Summit once again and speaking on what is a hugely important topic.
“ Skills and apprenticeships has been a thread running through the Glazing Summit since the very beginning, and the fact that the spotlight is still on it shows that the skills shortage remains one of the most important challenges facing our industry.”
