QUICKER ROOF SOLUTIONS

The Global conservatory roof has remained one of the best-known systems for over 10 years. Now, with the addition of a variable pelmet, which creates a quick and easy internal orangery solution, we find out why it’ s still a top choice for installers and fabricators.
With the addition of lantern roofs and tiled roofs to the conservatory market, the opportunities for installers are seemingly endless nowadays for creating purpose designed spaces for consumers. The traditional glazed conservatory has had a makeover, with a range of contemporary style options available, and orangeries are no longer the expensive, extravagant products they once were.
Robyn Atwell, senior project manager at Monmouthshire Conservatory Company, says orangeries now make up about 9 in 10 of their conservatory sales. He explained:
“ Nowadays orangeries can be built without the rigmarole and expense. A system like Global Summer has all the decorative features of an orangery but doesn’ t require the building regulations often needed for full structural orangeries. The Global Summer has very distinct mouldings on its cornices which gives it that more traditional appearance than other systems, and that meets the demand we are seeing from our customers.
“ Out of the next five projects we have lined up, only one of those is a traditional lean-to conservatory and the rest will be Global Summer orangeries. It’ s a great benefit for us to be able to
use the same Global roof system to create multiple roof types – it means our fitters feel more comfortable with the product and can build quicker, meaning less time on site.
“ We recently started selling Synseal’ s Global system again and have been thrilled
with the results. Synseal’ s conservatory technical team spent some time with our carpenters on site and they were brilliant, talking the team through the new variable pelmet system and giving them the confidence to install on their own. The pelmet makes a real difference
for us – it’ s speedy to install, easy to transport and can be stored on sites much more easily than other products we have worked with.
The Global variable pelmet has been designed with versatility in mind, adapting to suit pitches from 12.5 °- 35 ° and an impressive 300 – 1100mm depths. This makes it easy to accommodate varying valleys often seen in P and T-shaped structures where it is typically more difficult
to create a consistent look internally.
Monmouthshire Conservatory Company source the Global roof system from Polyframe, part of Customade Group, who offer the traditional conservatory system alongside alternative products like the lantern roofs, which are well suited to full structural orangeries.

One of the longest-serving installers in the UK has recently surpassed the impressive milestone of installing to more than 60,000 homes.
T & K Home Improvements are celebrating their 40th year in business and installing to over 60,000 homes in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties is a magnificent achievement.
