NEW UK COMPANY FOR
COMPOSITE WINDOWS
Following some 25 years of successful business in Italy and mainland Europe, the composite
window specialist, Uniform, has set up a UK subsidiary Uniform Architectural Ltd in Bristol.
Directors Chris Dixon, Adrian
Youd and Matteo Giaretta all
have long experience in the
window and door industry
and are based at the new
Bristol head office in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol.
Chris and Adrian will be keeping
up their connections with specifiers and contractors to satisfy
project requirements and Matteo
as operations director, will be
co-ordinating with the group’s
European factories for the speedy
deliveries for which the group is
known.
The Uniform Architectural Ltd
parent company Uniform SpA
based in Verona, Italy is a £100
million turnover manufacturer of
top quality composite windows.
Nearly half of its 45,000m² premises in Verona is devoted to manufacturing, the company employing
400 people worldwide. Uniform
also manufactures high specification curtain walling and brise
soleil at a separate plant.

much faster deliveries that we are

solid growth over the next few
years.”

SHOW 2014
Following the outstanding success
of the FIT Show this year, the Glass
and Glazing Federation (GGF)
has signed up to exhibit at the
show in 2014. The GGF Group
has secured its stand space 264
in Hall 2 at the show, which will
run from 10th-12th June 2014.
Registration phase for 2014 starts
As from now, companies in glass machinery
production, the glass
industry and glass
crafts can register for
glasstec running at
Düsseldorf exhibition
centre from 21st to
24th October 2014.
glasstec stands out as a
leading global fair in the
sector because it covers
the glass value chain with
a unique spectrum of
top companies, thereby
attracting a particularly
international and top notch
audience. At the last glasstec
in 2012 59% of the some
42,400 trade visitors came
from abroad.
Alongside exhibitors’ wide
ranges the comprehensive
supporting programme
with special shows and
conferences makes glasstec
a must-go event for specialists from the fields of
mechanical engineering,
the industry, crafts as well
as solar technology. Some
accompanying events and
special themes are also explicitly aimed at architects/
(façade) planners and civil
engineers.
The general trends at
glasstec 2014 include thin
and curved glass, glass
printing and coatings,
display glass and technical
glass applications (e.g. LED/
OLED), building integrated
photovoltaics/solar thermal
energy, glass and material
combinations on façades,
laser technology as well as
glass recycling.
