Window Ware has just expanded its range of stocked colours in the RW Simon Framevent window ventilators to include on-trend grey shades and more . This is great news for installers who have perhaps struggled in the past to source coloured vents in highvolumes or on quick turnarounds .
The wider palette of trickle vents now includes dual or single coloured vents in top-selling tones of silver grey RAL7001 , slate grey RAL7015 , agate grey RAL7938 and anthracite grey RAL7016 , as well as more muted hues like Chartwell green and cream with other RAL colours available on request .
The Framevent is suitable for PVCu , timber and aluminium frames and is a great ventilation solution for fabricators looking to meet Approved Document F building regulations without detracting from stylish new windows . The extensive colour range combined with a slim , curvy design makes it right on the money in terms of complementing a clean , modern window aesthetic .

DoorJammer is one of the latest companies to renew their membership with Secured by Design ( SBD ), the official police security initiative .
DoorJammer was invented by product designer Von Saint while on holiday in Mexico , with necessity becoming the mother of invention as he discovered his hotel room ’ s broken door , and
was then forced to hold it closed the only way he could - by wedging a chair against it .
Von Saint Designs then began working with the Penn Elcom Group to refine , manufacture and distribute DoorJammer and DoorJammer Corporation , part of the Penn Elcom Group , has the worldwide rights to manufacture , market and sell DoorJammer and DoorJammer Lockdown .
With over a third of a million units sold , DoorJammer has gone on to win Double Gold and Diamond awards at the British Invention Show , Silver and Finalist awards at the National Hardware Show and International Housewares Association as well as achieving the PAS24 Impact Test Certificate from Winkhaus Laboratories and becoming accredited by Secured by Design .

BDC ADDS TO ITS ALUMINIUM OFFER
Experienced Essex aluminium fabricator BDC Aluminium has recently added Stellar from Epwin Window Systems to its portfolio .
The quick-fit properties of the award-winning Stellar system are thanks to its patent-pending knock-in beads which have the added advantage of leaving a neat and clean gasket line . The installation process is the same as fitting PVC-U windows which is proving popular with installers .
BDC Aluminium has seen year-on-year growth for their comprehensive range of aluminium products with a sharp increase in demand over the last few months following lockdown . As well as expanding its portfolio to include Stellar , BDC Aluminium has also undertaken a programme of investment in its manufacturing operations . It invested in the UK ’ s first 4-head Ever Theta frame crimping machine from FOM last year and has opened a new 11,000 sq ft manufacturing unit . The new unit will be dedicated to manufacturing Stellar for its domestic , commercial and trade customers , including Epwin Group companies .
