Trends are continuing to change for external
building products particularly doors, windows and
roofline. For many years white was right and the
only option but colour is now available in a range
of shades and finishes. These colour options can
give installers more opportunities to upsell.
Freefoam, the colour roofline spe-
cialist, has for some years been reporting
a significant rise in sales of colour roofline
products such as anthracite grey, sable and
black. These follow trends in the market
place with specifiers increasingly choosing
grey and black for windows and doors giv-
ing developments a modern feel.
Freefoam marketing manager Louise
Sanderson said: “Traditionally, PVCu has
been white but the trend now is to move
away from that. People want to choose a
coloured PVCu that blends in with doors and
windows for a more contemporary look.”
The popularity of grey roofline products
has soared and since Freefoam’s introduc-
tion of the Anthracite Grey Woodgrain to its
extensive roofline range, requests for grey
colours have increased and proved to be a
