Conquering the Three Peaks
Five determined members
of the team at Truemans
Windows recently took on
the 24.5 mile-long hike on
three of Yorkshire’s highest
peaks in a bid to raise money for Macmillan Cancer
Support.
The five set off on their
expedition and, after battling
through the physical and mental
exhaustion that the mountains
demand, successfully completed the challenge and raised
an impressive £2,140 for the
charity.
MD, Joe Trueman, commented:
“We chose Macmillian Cancer
Support as our charity for 2015
due to the amazing work they have
done for so many individuals and
families that have been affected by
cancer. Having the opportunity to
complete the Yorkshire Three Peak
Challenge in aid of this charity was
a great experience and we are very
pleased to have raised a total of
£2140.”
After twelve and a half hours
the first members of the group
crossed the finish line, closely
followed by the rest of the team.
Having had the chance to reflect on
their achievement, the five agreed
that, although it was one of the
hardest challenges they have ever
undertaken, facing cancer alone is
immeasurably tougher.
