A Colourful Future For Cladding
Leading PVCu and
PVCue building products manufacturer
Kestrel has extended
the colour range of
its cladding products
once more, in direct
response to customer
demand.
The roofline and cladding
specialist has added a new
shade of grey to its 100mm
open V and 150mm shiplap
range.
The RAL 7016 Anthracite
Grey colour had its inaugural fixing on a house in
Norfolk.
The team at Kestrel stockist Plastic Building Supplies
of Norwich were given the
challenge of supplying grey
cladding for a project in
Castle Acre.
Kestrel business development manager for the south,
Steve Bowden, said: “The
homeowners needed a replacement for their existing
warped and cracking vertical
cladding and it needed to be
finished in a specific grey.
“Kestrel has a culture of
technical innovation and
like to do all we can to support our stockists and their
customers, so we accepted
A Personal
Touch
the challenge to come up
with the perfect shade of
grey.”
The end result was so
good that the colour will
now sit alongside Rosewood, Black Grain, Wood
Grain, Irish Oak, Sherwood
Grain and Mahogany, to
form part of the main Kestrel cladding range.
Kestrel frequently reviews
its range of finishes to
help specifiers, installers
and distributors meet the
changing needs of the
market.
Steve added: “There can
be little question that
coloured products are in
more demand than ever by
specifiers, building companies and installers.
“At Kestrel we work hard
to meet the requests of our
customers and so we are
constantly looking at how
our range of colours can
best meet their needs.”
The cladding range can
be viewed on the newly
redesigned Kestrel
website, which includes
the brand’s widest ever
collection of products and

A New Solution
Sunbell, Italy’s leading
designer and manufacturer of integral blinds
has introduced a new
20mm cavity solution
for glazed units designed exclusively for
the UK market.
The new 20mm spacer
bar available in natural silver or black allows blinds
to be successfully installed
into traditional 28mm
glazed units.
Sunbell integral blinds
are the ideal partner for
bi-folding and patio doors
providing enhanced privacy, reductions in sound
intrusion and solar glare.
Sealed from any ingress
of dirt, dust and moisture,
integral blinds offer an easy
to use, low maintenance
and safe solution that can
help to reduce the effect
of direct sunlight and heat
loss, offering protection
from overheating in the
summer and improved
thermal insulation in the
winter.
Designed for windows,
doors and glass partitions,
Sunbell blinds are available in a choice of stylish
Venetian and fabric finishes
including blackout options
in a choice of colours.
Sunbell blinds use a
low-voltage motorised
system solution powered
either by a rechargeable
battery or ‘hard wired’ with
remote activation for up to
12 blinds.
The battery option is a
flexible solution, easily installed with no hardwiring,
rechargeable by a mains
connection with optional
external solar panel and
controllable by remote
activation.
Blinds are available to
order direct from Italy on
a three week lead time
ready for assembly into the
glazed unit.
Richard Sheppard, Sunbell’s UK agent, said: “The
launch of the 20mm cavity
designed exclusively for
the UK market represents
a major investment in new
tooling and components.
Sunbell offers a unique
combination of Italian design, quality and engineering excellence.”

Front-Door is going that extra
mile to prove it is dedicated to its
customers. Although largely website
based, with around 120 enquiries
a day through its online site, the
company prides itself in its personal
approach to customer service.
The family run business
opened in 2006 and
does everything a good
entrance door supplying website should do,
with that extra personal touch.
Front-Door customers are
able to benefit from some of
the industry’s cheapest prices on a selective range of
composite entrance doors,
from some of the industry’s
more renown door suppliers; Door Stop, Truedor,
Rock Door and Solidor.
On the site, customers can
easily build their very own
door by choosing from a
selection of options including styles, colours, glass
and hardware options, and
should the customer be on
a budget, the site offers a
pricing facility to help keep
costs under control giving
customers a breakdown of
costs at every stage.
TJ Tierney, Front-Door,
said: “Although the majority of our business is done
through our website, our
customer service is still personal. We will call customers back at a time that suits
them to guide them through
their needs, to ensure the
door is being manufactured
correctly. Our staff are on
hand up to 9pm weekdays
or alternatively, we have a
live chat box on the site.
“The world of composite
doors has changed dramatically over the last 10 years.
Having invested millions of
pounds in a state of the art
manufacturing facility, we
honestly believe if you’re
looking for a front door,
they are not made any better anywhere else.
“Builders know a good
trade door when they see
one. The fact we serve a
wide range of trade customers, means members of the
public can have confidence
they are buying the best
British-made doors money
can buy, each one individually made to order.
“Doors take between 4
to 10 working days to be
delivered, depending on the
type of door required and
whether buying one or ten
doors, we give customers
confidence in our quality.”
TJ adds.
