hundreds
for hospice
Network VEKA’s Office Manager, Susan Lunney, and Karen Galawan (PA
to VEKA’s Sales and Marketing Director) have taken part in a sponsored
walk to raise money for Pendleside
hospice that cared for their late
sister Anne.
Susan and Karen took part in Pendleside
Hospice’s ‘Girl’s Night Out’ 10k walk with
two of their daughters, Shelley and Angela,
and raised almost £400 for the cause.
Susan explains: “Karen and I lost our
sister Anne on the 9th May 2014, she died
in Pendleside Hospice and the staff worked
tirelessly to make her last three weeks comfortable and happy - they attended to her
every need and really couldn’t have done
more for her. Being able to raise some money for the Hospice is our way of thanking
the staff for all they do for everyone in their
care. Anne was amazed by their attention,
care and dedication.
“The 10k walk took place at 8pm and
was followed by a celebration at Burnley
