“24/7 Sales Manager” to
revolutionise door sales
A number of people have woken up
to the need for 24/7 ordering but
very few have made it quick or easy
to use. Door-Stop has now gone
one step further with its new “24/7
Sales Manager” website plug-in. This
allows fabricators and installers to
use online ordering and pricing for
composite doors on their own websites, linking to Door-Stop production
in the same way www.door-stop.
co.uk does.
“The 24/7 Sales Manager has been developed by our long-term digital agency
partner, The Consultancy, to add another dimension to customers’ sales and marketing,”
explains Managing Director Nick Dutton.
“It is a revolutionary tool, a simple to use
plug-in, which slots seamlessly into existing
websites. It gives fabricators and installers
customers their own version of the DoorStop configurator making it easy for their
trade or homeowner clients to design, order
and pay for the door they want, at any time
of day or night. Our customers approve
each order before it goes to Door-Stop, giving them control of the process.
“If installers prefer not to divulge prices
to homeowners, they don’t have to, their
customers can use the door designer and
request a quote at the end.”

Glazing repair
hardware
supplier, UPVC
Maintenance
Supplies, is
pleased to
announce the
opening of
its new trade
counter in York,
North Yorkshire.
The new trade counter is
the company’s most recent site to be opened,
after its Rotherham
branch open its doors
back in January 2012.
The locations of both
branches were strategically
chosen after UPVC Maintenance Supplies recognised
the need to offer additional
support and provide better
delivery service to customers
local to the sites.
The new branch is located
at Clifton Moor, York in 1000
sq ft of space and offers an
extensive warehouse space;
customer parking and a
purpose built trade counter
display area, allowing staff
the opportunity to showcase
some of the company’s more
popular product ranges to
customers.
Rob Hudson, York branch
manager commented, “Local
response has been brilliant,
since opening our doors in
July, trade and domestic customers have been calling in
to the trade counter, bring-
ing along the replacement
window or door part.”
“Because of our vast range
of replacement hardware
components, our success
rate for providing the customer the same or like-forlike replacement product for
their repair or maintenance
job is 99.9%.”

LOYALTY CAN BE REWARDING
As a forward thinking fabricator
with 20 years of experience in
understanding installers’ needs,
it was the next logical step at the
end of 2011 for Tradelink to bring
the fabrication of much-requested
aluminium products in house so that
customers have the choice of high
quality PVC-U and aluminium profile
under one roof. Since then the trade
fabricator has seen a huge rise in
demand for its range of aluminium
windows and doors.
To celebrate the success of this side of
the business, Tradelink took the decision to
reward its loyal customers, offering an iPad
mini to those who ordered £5,000 of goods
in a three month period. The first customer
to reach this milestone was Surrey-based 1st
Glass Windows Ltd, a family run business
that has been trading for some 16 years,
and of those has been a Tradelink customer
for 10.
‘An iPad mini to those who
ordered £5,000 of goods’
Bruce Morley, Business Development
Director at Tradelink presented the prize
to Operations Manager at 1st Glass, Warren
Dalton, who comments: “The iPad mini is
already proving an invaluable selling tool
after we uploaded images of recent installations onto it to show potential customers
the scope of what we can deliver.”
