The plush Edgbaston Banqueting Suite played host to a champagne drinks ’ reception , three course gala dinner , and private bar , before Simon Evans , one of the UK ’ s most respected and best loved comedians , took to the stage .
The comedian , from BBC One ’ s Live at the Apollo , Michael McIntyre ’ s Roadshow , Channel 4 ’ s Stand Up for the Week , and his BBC Radio 4 hit series Simon Evans Goes to Market , provided a hilarious after dinner speech as delegates were able to let their hair down .
“ We wanted to change the tone of the evening and Simon provided the perfect tonic after the day , with guests enjoying an evening of laughter ,” said Andrew . “ The feedback from delegates and sponsors on the Glazing Summit Dinner was very positive and it was the perfect evening to a perfect day .”
Continuing momentum
With a clear appetite for its return , organisers announced that the Glazing Summit will be back next year , with further details of the date and venue to be revealed soon .
“ With the Glazing Summit firmly established in the glazing industry event calendar , we have the momentum going into 2022 ,” added Andrew . “ The challenge is to raise the bar again next year and we ’ re really excited about continuing to shape the event and building on this success .
“ The industry needs a platform for leaders and CEOs to come together to learn and share ideas , thoughts and opinions . We look forward to seeing everyone again next year .”
