18 | NOVEMBER 2019 News Read online at www.proinstaller.co.uk RAISE THE ROOF FOR DOUBLE G AWARDS NOMINATION Atlas Glazed Roof Solutions has been named as a finalist in not one, but two categories at the forthcoming G19 awards. The nomination for ‘New Prod- uct of the Year’ recognises the major advances that Atlas made in glazed lantern design when it launched Lantern 2.0 in January this year. Developed by a team of technical experts, Lantern 2.0 is the slimmest, lightest, finest looking and most thermally effi- cient lantern that Atlas has ever created. The fully integrated marketing campaign behind Lantern 2.0 helped to propel this premium product to phenomenal success in its first year. Spreading the message that Atlas has set a new benchmark in glazed roofing, the campaign has been nominated for ‘Promotional Campaign of the Year’. The G19 winners will be an- nounced at the awards ceremony and gala dinner, which will be held at the London Hilton on 29 November. The new Lantern 2.0 from Atlas features a fully aluminium, ther- mally broken ringbeam, which has been reduced in size by 55% to make it lighter, better looking and more thermally efficient than ever. The new lantern also incorporates a refined ridge topcap, which is 25% thinner than before, to achieve incredibly slim sightlines when viewed from both above and below. To give the lantern contin- ued external elegance, the height of the ridge top cap has also been trimmed by nearly 50%. www.atlasroofsolutions.co.uk Veka Recycling hosts local politicians at new HQ Drawn by the pros- SENIOR WELCOMES NEW NATIONAL SALES MANAGER Aluminium fenestration solutions provider Senior Architectural Systems has strengthened its technical sales team with the appointment of Steve Kendrick to the role of national sales manager. While 24% of visitors to the one-day conference said that it was better than last year. Organisers Purplex Marketing and Insight Data used Slido, the online Q&A and polling app, which al- lowed attendees to take part in several polls and pose questions for those on stage through their smartphone. “It was really interesting to see that only 25% of peo- ple said that in their opinion the state of the market in 2019 is down on last year, considering Brexit has pro- vided a lot of uncertainty,” commented Andrew Scott, Glazing Summit founder and CEO of Purplex and Insight Data. “Brexit has painted a pic- ture of negativity over the whole country, whatever the industry, so it’s great to see that our industry has shown a lot of positivity.” www.glazingsummit.co.uk
