FIT TO HEAD UP
SHOW’S OPERATIONS
Nickie West has been appointed to the board of FIT Events
Ltd, the company that organises The FIT Show.
Joining the team from the
earliest days of the event in
2011 as Operations Manager, Nickie has applied her
broad experience of exhibition organisation, sales and
management increasingly
on subsequent FIT Shows,
becoming a familiar figure
especially during the build,
open days and breakdown of
the event. Latterly, Nickie’s
experience as a sales director of various exhibitions
has also paid dividends in
the organisation of the FIT
Show’s sales activities.
‘Her influences can
be seen throughout
the FIT Show’
“Nickie has been with us almost
since day one,” explained Matthew
Glover, who founded The FIT
Show with partner Paul Godwin,
the first event taking place in April
2013. “Her influences can be seen
throughout the FIT Show and
not least in the recommendation
of Telford as a venue, a genius
touch.
“Nickie is a great asset to us
and to our exhibitors and visitors, who enjoy a great looking,
positive and safe experience at
The FIT Show directly as a result of her work. We are delighted that she has accepted our
invitation to join the board.”
The Fabricator Installer Trade
(FIT) Show takes place at The
International Centre Telford on
the 12th, 13th and 14th April
2016.

Newly Updated Satellite
Ordering Comes In To Orbit
Customers of Glazerite
Windows Ltd gave an
enthusiastic welcome
to the company’s newly
updated Satellite online ordering system, as
well as gaining insights
into the new Document
Q, at the latest of its
customer days, at the
Maco HQ in Kent.
Installers saw how the
latest version of Satellite
does far more than handle
orders – its advanced functionality gives each customer their own fully branded
and customised paperwork
such as order acknowledgements, invoices and letters,
to present a professional
appearance in all dealings
with homeowners.
Everyone was impressed
with the new system with
one delegate, Chris Pettitt
of Ramsgate Glass Centre
saying:
“It’s faster and more powerful, and the customised
paperwork will be a real
benefit. I picked up lots of
hints and tips about making
the most of the system. It
was a great day all round.”
Online Marketing Pays Dividends
Based in the heart of West Yorkshire, Alpine Glass is on a mission
to grow its business and with the
help of window industry marketing
experts Purplex Marketing they are
putting all the right foundations in
place.
Glazerite Sales and
Marketing Manager Chris
Thompson said: “Lots of
other customers have told
us they are keen to make
the most of Satellite. As
well as the increased speed
and efficiency, the choice
for customers to use their
own branding is exactly in
line with our philosophy
of supporting customers to
promote their own identity
while keeping the Glazerite
name in the background.”
Visitors also gained valuable insights into the new
Document Q from guest
speaker Austin Greene of

The team at Alpine has nearly ten years’
experience in the glazing industry, having
started out manufacturing conservatory
roofs in 2006. In 2012, they moved into
retail, installing a wide range of PVCu, aluminium and timber products.
Caroline Moffatt, Director at Alpine, understood that driving retail sales would require
an effective online marketing strategy. At
the same time, Caroline wanted to entrust
Alpine’s marketing budget to a company
with the relevant skills and experience to
excel.
Caroline comments: “We appointed
Purplex because we needed a company
with not only impressive credentials in
web design and online marketing but also
really understood our industry. The team at
Purplex have been brilliant and we are all
very pleased with the new website and continued online marketing which is already
starting to pay dividends.”
The new Alpine Glass website; www.
alpine-glass.co.uk has been designed to
the highest standard of accessibility and
usability with a fully responsive layout that
adapts to suit all screen sizes from mobile
phones and tablets to laptops and desktops. The online marketing strategy doesn’t
stop now the website has been launched
but continues with regular content updates
and the promotion of the company online
in order to boost Alpine up the search
engine rankings and leap frog its competition.
