Seeing the world in perfect symmetry
One of the newest systems on show will be the Uni-Blinds ® SV + System . Based on the market-leading SV System , this is an integrated Venetian blind controlled using a magnetic cordless slider device positioned on the face of the glass unit .
The SV + differs in the way it achieves perfect symmetry in the look of windows and doors . A sideguide features at each side of the double glazed unit , one of which is needed for the control mechanism , with the other being for aesthetic purposes to provide balance . The SV + is particularly suited to single entrance doors or the centre

Darkness on demand
Sharing the SV + System ’ s ability to meet specific end-user needs is the Uni-Blinds ® pleated blackout integral blind , which also debuts at the FIT Show . Ideal for homeowners seeking complete darkness in specific rooms , regardless of external light conditions , this is already proving popular for use in children ’ s nurseries , cinema rooms and bedrooms of shift workers who need to sleep during the day .
The blind ’ s design ensures there is no leakage of light around the edges or along the vertical cords . It can be used with corded and magnetic slider Uni-Blinds ® control systems and is available in 20mm double glazing cavities – this exclusive from Morley Glass makes the

App control for the solar powered W Smart
A third new Uni-Blinds ® product for installers to explore is a smart home enhancement for the solar powered W Smart integral blind . A new plug and play smart hub called Screen- Hub ®, developed by ScreenLine manufacturer Pellini , enables the blind to controlled using a smart phone app – a further benefit in addition to the remote control device already provided with W Smart .

New system for healthcare buildings
Finally , installers will be able to see a new system designed for the health and social care sector called ScreenView ®. This is ideal for hospital and medical school door vision panels , where a mix of privacy and observation is required , switchable with ease , at different times of the day . Coupled with fire rated glass , this offers a solution that is both practical and fully compliant with the requirements of a fire door specification .
