Taking first place was Bridgend- based Ewenny Home Improve- ments. The judges were blown away by the sheer size and scale of the project which combined a sleek 6x3 metre Atlas lantern with bi-folding doors. The special Inno- vation Award also went to Ew- enny for an ultra-modern glazed extension on a Cardiff property, described as “like nothing we’ve seen before” by the judges. The event, which attracted over 100 international delegates was sponsored by Emirates Glass, Gulf Glass Industries Ltd, Kur- aray, Momentive and Filmtek and was organised in conjunction with Members of the GGF MENA (Mid- dle East and North Africa) Region. Chairman of the MENA region, Pascoal DSilva of Gulf Glass In- dustries (GGI) commented, “The conference was most worthwhile with superb pres- entations from industry experts who provided important technical updates and information. All del- egates I have spoken with found the conference to be both enjoy- able and highly useful for their businesses.
