’ working in a clockwise direction until you reach the hip. Then return to where you started to add the second row on the right elevation, then the third etc until you meet the ridge. We recommend completing all of the right elevation first and trimming at the hip and ridge before moving on to the next elevation, still working clockwise. For the front elevation, it’ s best to start the first row from the centre and tile outwards to the hips but all subsequent rows can be tiled as before.

Q: What makes the
Celsius Solid Roof stand out on the market place?
A: Speed and simplicity of installation is where our Celsius Solid Roof system stands head and shoulders above the competition. Designed using SIPS( structural insulated panels) technology, the roof slides together simply, creating a watertight structure within hours. Every solid roof kit will arrive on site with everything the installer needs to assemble, right down to the Rapierstar stainless steel fixings. All the installer needs is their toolbox. One of our other standout features is that we’ ve worked with experts to ensure that every component of our system does its job properly. Our 100 % recycled polypropylene tiles are injection moulded to exact specifications by specialist suppliers, and we have worked with the best in insulation to design the timber construction.

Q: Won’ t the timber frame be prone to rotting?
A: We use Kingspan TEK Building Systems SIPS panels, a proven method of warm roof construction which eliminates many of the problems associated with aluminium like cold bridging and condensation, which are both a nightmare for the homeowner who will
‘ if installed correctly it’ s not at risk of any rot or weather damage
’ be calling you back up to come and fix the problem. The timber system has a thermal conductivity of 0.16 W / m ² K – that’ s a thousand times more efficient than aluminium systems which are typically 160 W / m ² K. The insulating panels interlock together to form a strong structure and a breather membrane sits underneath the tiles to create a weathertight finish – so if installed correctly it’ s not at risk of any rot or weather damage.

Q: If the solid, tiled roof is so good, why do you still sell Global and K2 glazed systems?
A: The bottom line is that every installer has a different preference and so does every homeowner. We think that our Celsius Solid Roof gives you a much wider offer to tap into homeowners who have always avoided conservatories. Equally, there are some homeowners who absolutely love conservatories

and orangeries, and that’ s why we also offer two excellent glazed roof systems. Our aim is to offer you a choice between three high performing systems, so you have the right roof for every job.
