The company has taken over a former metals recycling plant in Neilson Road on the Finedon Industrial Estate in the north east of the town and will spend more than £8 million to build a facility EPWIN GLASS INVESTS FOR THE FUTURE Epwin has consolidated its glass production facilities onto one site - Epwin Glass. Epwin Glass draws on the company’s 30 years of experience in glass manufacture as it continues to support some of the largest and most respected domestic and commercial window manufacturers and installers in the UK. There is a wide range of glass units for windows, doors and con- servatories that spans the Epwin ready to accept and convert UK unused offcuts and old PVCu win- dows into re-usable polymer. The Wellingborough plant will enable VEKA Recycling Ltd to fully re-process PVCu window and door frames into material that can be re-manufactured as new products including window pro- files, cills and trims and a range of products as diverse as cable management and construction products. Joining the internationally renowned firm’s senior team is Commercial Manager Bri- an Stewart, an experienced sourcing and procurement specialist. Past roles have seen him deliver savings of more than £3m by effectively managing organisations’ direct and in- direct costs including supply chain, contract negotiations and more. At Edgetech, he’ll be charged with overseeing all client-focused aspects of the business, including logistics and customer service. Long-serving staff mem- ber Ami Chana has been promoted to Warehouse Supervisor. Ami was among the first employees hired to work on Edgetech’s manufacturing line back when the compa- ny first began making Super Spacer in the UK in 2007. Ami has now been tasked with overseeing the compa- ny’s newly-opened ware- house facility. Jason Blundred has been promoted to Operations Manager. Starting his Edge- tech career as Maintenance Manager, Jason played an integral role in helping Edgetech establish the first UK warm edge spacer manufacturing facility back in 2007.
