NEW LOCKSMITH TRAINING SCHOOL

MPL – one of the country’ s premier locksmith training providers- has moved its training services to larger new premises in Wakefield to cope with demand for its training courses, and to enable it to expand into new fields.
The new premises will give MPL over 2,000 square feet of floor space to deliver a vast range of existing and new training programmes, including a new Tilt and Turn course, and a new PVCu course. MPL’ s sales, main office and trade counter is still fully operational from Westgate End, also in Wakefield.
Operations director Nicky England said:“ 2016 was a phenomenal year for MPL. We saw more than double the number of people going through our range of courses compared to the previous year.
“ In no small part this was due to us being awarded the opportunity to deliver training courses with City & Guilds assessment.”
“ There is no more instantly recognisable symbol of quality in learning than City & Guilds, and judging by the number of experienced locksmiths who came to us looking to enhance their skills and their career prospects further it was certainly a good move.
“ But what it also taught us is that the market for locksmith training is growing all the time, and that if we wanted to continue to grow we would need to expand and take on new premises.
“ So we have done exactly that, and as well as enabling us to take in more trainees for our existing courses, it has given us space to offer some new ones as well. We will very
shortly be offering a new Tilt and Turn course and a PVCu course to teach the techniques and the importance to security of toeing and heeling.
“ We have already had significant interest in these and we will be launching further details very shortly. These will complement our existing three and five-day
locksmith training course and our two-day advanced picking course.
“ We are really excited about the prospects for these and for our other courses,
and we are looking forward to another great year.
“ We will not move away from our core principles of giving the best mix of hands on and theoretical training directly through people who are locksmiths in their own right, or from our on-going after sales and marketing support to our trainees.
“ The new premises are about delivering more courses to more trainees, but all to the same exacting standards we have always done.”

WORKWEAR FOR EVER-CHANGING DAYS

Keeping warm and dry when working through the colder months requires something extra from your workwear. In addition, many construction sites demand that your workwear hold the visibility certification EN ISO 20471. Get it all in two newly developed ranges from MASCOT.
You know the drill. Some days it is too cold in the morning to work in only a sweatshirt, but by lunchtime, it’ s too hot for a jacket. Then, when you’ re most busy, it starts to rain. Maybe you have to swing by a construction site that demands high-visibility clothing. It can be hard to find one piece of workwear that fits all your needs.
Wide range of products
It is about being able to create functional combinations of the individual craftsman’ s favourite product types. Just as the weather differs, each individual worker

two full ranges of workwear that fit perfectly together in design and functionality

in the construction industry also has different preferences. Some prefer a heavy winter jacket, while others prefer an outer shell jacket and still others, a water-repellent thermal jacket. MASCOT has launched two full ranges of workwear that fit perfectly together in design and functionality, creating a virtually endless number of combination possibilities.
One is a relaunch of MAS- COT ® HARDWEAR, an innovative workwear range for construction. It contains a host of smart details from magnetic closures and extraordinary insulation materials to jackets with a high hydrostatic
head rating and trousers with stretch. The other range is MAS- COT ® SAFE SUPREME containing many of the same features as well as being a full range with the safety certification EN ISO 20471.
MASCOT ® SAFE SUPREME is for the wearer that demands something extra from their protective workwear. A high
safety class is easily achievable by layering products so you have comfort, temperature regulation and safety in mind. By wearing the hi-vis gilet MASCOT ® Grimsby over a non-fluorescent hoodie and trousers you achieve safety class 1. If you combine your outfit with the MASCOT ® Kendal safety trousers, your overall outfit will reach the highest safety standard,
class 3. The hoodie with fluorescent details, MASCOT ® Motril, carries no certification but it fits perfectly together with the rest of the outfit.
All products in these ranges are in stock and can be ordered through your local MASCOT distributor.
