PYRAMID PROFILES MOVES
TO HALO AFTER 20 YEARS
A Walsall-based trade fabricator of
PVCu windows and doors, Pyramid
Profiles, has moved to using Halo
profile as well as other VEKA UK
Group products after 20 years of
working exclusively with another
systems supplier.
The family-run company now manufactures a wide range of Halo products, including the chamfered System 10 and sculptured
Rustique profiles, the conservation and heritage favourite, FlushSash, and the Imagine
Patio and Bi-Fold Doors.
“We’d been looking for some time for a
systems supplier to help take our business
forward, not only through superior products
but a great support package too,” explains
Pyramid Profiles’ Managing Director, Paul
Bailey. “You need only read the trade press
to see story after story of customer support and satisfaction with Halo. And The
VEKA UK Group’s #JustTheFACTS campaign
mentions more than 100 companies switching profile systems to them in the last 12
months which gave us extra confidence in
changing over.
“We’d always liked the looks, quality and
versatility of Halo’s Rustique profile, and because they are part of The VEKA UK Group,
we knew they’d offer stability, longevity and
product investment.
“The recent Imagine suite of doors is a
case in point. It’s a collection that’s been designed from the ground up with no expense
spared. Our customers love how it ticks the
boxes of security, energy ratings, adaptability, weatherproofing and style.”
Paul also notes the support, particularly

MD of high-end aluminium firm
TWENTY-FIVE jobs and millions
of pounds later, the MD of a
specialist aluminium fabricator has struck a new longterm deal with its marketing
company, four years after they
first started working together.
Jerry Webb, MD of CDW systems,
has put pen to paper on a new
long-term deal with construction
agency specialists Purplex Marketing.
The two companies first started
working together four years ago.
Jerry comments: ‘At the time I
didn’t really see the point of marketing. For me running a business
was just about operations, manufacturing and bottom line. I was
worried that an external agency
wouldn’t get our business and industry - and be able to add value.
“But I attended the Ryder Cup in
2010 for an industry event, where
a leading construction figure
showed me some research that
demonstrated how companies
that consistently invest in marketing outperform those that don’t. It
was compelling evidence and Purplex stood out head and shoulders above the other agencies.
“I’m glad I did invest, as the
results really have been spectacular. Purplex know the construction industry inside out; and what
they do works in tandem with our
long-term business plan.”
Jerry says the results speak for
themselves; and together with
Purplex CDW has grown its
turnover by 53% in four years and
employed 25 new members of
staff.
“We’ve added millions of pounds
of revenue to the business and
employed lots of new people which in turn has had a positive
supply side impact to the local
economy. We’ve also re-developed
the factory and added a nightshift,” Jerry adds.
CDW Systems is a Gloucester-based specialist aluminium
manufacturer that employs over 60
people. It is famous for supplying
some of the UK’s most prestigious
domestic and commercial projects
- most recently its products were
specified for the refurbishment
of Harry Redknapp’s house in
Bournemouth.
Andrew Scott, MD at Purplex,
comments: “CDW is a classy company that is great to work with
and has achieved amazing results.
They’re pioneers at what they do
and leaders in their sector.”

Approved Installer Scheme: “With VEKA
and Halo there’s a much more proactive
approach to ensuring success for each link
in the supply chain - helping installers to
promote their businesses to homeowners
and, in turn, generating business for fabricators like us. It’s clear to see why over 600
companies have joined the scheme in less
than two years since its launch.”
The VEKA UK Group’s Managing Director,
Dave Jones welcomed Pyramid Profiles,
saying: “It’s a bold move for any company
to venture into partnership with a new systems supplier, especially after being loyal to
one provider for over two decades.”
