FREEFOAM ADDS
TO COLOUR CHOICE
Freefoam, which manufactures products for
the building industry
in the UK, Ireland and
mainland Europe, has
added more products
to its extensive colour
range of fascia and
soffit.
All colours are now
available in an 18mm
thick square leg fascia in
150mm and 250mm wide
boards and also a 10mm
thick general purpose
soffit board in 175mm and
225mm wide boards.
With the increasing
popularity of grey window frames and guttering
Freefoam has also introduced the 250 and 350mm
general purpose board in
three shades of grey, storm
grey, dark grey and anthracite grey.
In the last few years the
UK has started to see a
significant shift in commercial specifications from
white roofline to colour. In
continental Europe most
windows are coloured and
in Ireland it’s about 50%.
UK colour has doubled in
the last 15 years to 20%
and this trend is only predicted to increase.
Recognising the growing
importance of colour for
architects, specifiers, and
house developers, Freefoam took the opportunity
15 years ago to generate
its patented ColormaxTM
technology using a master-batching process with
a blend of natural PVCu
and pigments to simultaneously co-extrude PVCu
building products.
Freefoam offers ten
colours with built-in
colourfastness, colour
variety, and reliable colour
matching all with a tenyear guarantee.
All new products are
available straight from stock
with no lead time, with
matching trims and fixing
accessories and a ten-year
guarantee.

Solidor Cloud
speeds up orders
for PJ Plastics
Solidor Cloud, Solidor’s online
ordering app, is helping Londonbased installer PJ Plastics
process quotes and orders
faster and more easily.
PJ Plastics has been
using Solidor Cloud
since it launched in
2014. The app has
been in continuous development since, with
updates improving the
system as it evolves
to meet customers’
needs.
Solidor Cloud enables
customers to build the door
they want quickly and easily, with all options available
for selection. A live preview
of the door shows them
what the options look like
before making their choice.
One click returns a quote,
which can be converted to
an order at a later date.
PJ Plastics Business Development Manager Heidi
Farmer says: “The vast majority of doors we sell are
Solidor, and Solidor Cloud
is a great benefit. We have
it set up on flat screens
in our showroom so we
can design the door with
the homeowner and give
them a quote very quickly.
It means we can provide a
personal service smoothly, without any stress or
waiting.
“We can convert saved
quotes to orders very easily, which is a great feature,”
continues Heidi. “So we
spend less time crunching
numbers and more time
making sure our customers
get the service they need.”
