Charity Begins At Home For Solidor Solidor is incredibly proud of its Staffordshire roots and always does whatever it can to support and raise awareness of local charitable causes. There are few more worthy causes than Douglas MacMillan Hospice, is the only adult hospice providing care and support every year to more than 2,500 people across Stokeon-Trent and North Staffordshire and Solidor is delighted to be sponsoring their latest annual fund-raising bike ride, affectionately known locally as the ‘Dougie Mac’ bike ride On Sunday 18th May hundreds of people from across the county will be taking to their bicycles at the starting point of Michelin Athletic Club to raise vital funds for the hospice. Anyone can take part, whether they’re a seasoned cycling pro or a complete biking novice. All they have to do is pay a small entry fee and acquire as much sponsorship money as they can before carefully navigating a 10, 50 or 110-mile route. Without the support of the local community, Douglas Macmillan Hospice could not continue to provide free of charge care, so every penny counts! A Solidor spokesperson said: “It’s a privilege to have our name associated with such a fantastically rewarding event.” ‘A fantastically rewarding event’ To take part visit: http:// www.dougiemacevents. co.uk/events-home/dougie-mac-bike-ride. As of February 10th delivery dates depend on postcode, with each area broken up into zones and allocated a set day to receive deliveries. Monday will be the North; Tuesday, West; Wednesday, South; Thursday, South East; Friday, East and home zones will receive daily deliveries. Roseview still deliver on a nationwide basis and if you’re outside of the zones you’ll still receive deliveries on an agreed set day. ‘Incredibly busy 2013, which has continued into 2014 Roseview’s production manager, Byron Field, comments on the changes: “An incredibly busy 2013, which has continued into 2014, means we can’t continue with the current delivery schedule. Breaking it down into zones means our customers know exactly when they’ll get their windows and can plan their deliveries better.” Owing to rising fuel prices Roseview will also be adding a £30 delivery charge to orders of less than £1000 (+VAT).
