OPENING OUR MINDS TO BETTER SALES OPPORTUNITIES

Before he was head of Elmhurst Windows, Richard Abrahams had his sights set on the‘ bright lights’. But, a brief stint at Yorkshire Television soon gave way to something much closer to home; working at his father Jack Abrahams’ business,. That“ summer job” in 1992 turned permanent, and since then, Richard has spent more than three decades immersed in the world of fenestration, and more importantly, sales.
“ I think I was always destined to go into business,” says Richard.“ I grew up around it; listening to my parents talk about sales, leads and customers. I was fascinated from the start.” That passion grew into a career that saw Richard transition from frontline sales to Managing Director, a role he’ s held for over 25 years, during which time Elmhurst has evolved its product range and approach; always with a strong focus on people and relationships.
Now, Richard is channelling that experience into a new chapter: offering specialist business and sales coaching tailored specifically for fenestration professionals and independent installers.
“ As times change, it’ s not just about what you sell, but how you sell,” Richard explains.“ Customers are more informed and more selective than ever. Sales today is consultative, not transactional. That’ s why understanding human behaviour, communication and leadership is critical.”
