There certainly was a buzz around the Avocet stand and it would appear that ARC was the star attraction , but why ?

Sales Director , Rob I ’ anson comments : “ ARC is our first foray into the SMART hardware world . ARC is a stunning pull bar with integrated finger print technology , LED backlights , full app support and boasts a unique plug and play system . We had two ARC systems on our stand , and they certainly put in a shift ! We wanted to use FIT to see if there was an

appetite for this product and it ’ s fair to say , there ’ s a full-on hunger for ARC .”

Avocet also introduced Fusion , a unique lever / bar combination that got tongues wagging thanks to its uniqueness and

stand out style . Taking a standard bar and incorporating a lever means that standard lever locks can be operated using the bar , meaning Fusion is a perfect retro fit solution .

“ We ’ ve got some development plans to enhance Fusion and make it an even more attractive proposition ,” commented Rob “ and thanks to the feedback from our visitors , we ’ ve come away from the show with some really exciting plans to take Fusion forward .”

Avocet are renowned for their suited hardware ranges as well as their award-winning ABS range of high security cylinders . All of this was on show alongside their new innovations and it was refreshing to see a business maintain its belief in its standard products all whilst investing in new tech and enhanced products .

Quickslide ’ s Chairman Adrian Barraclough hailed this year ’ s FIT Show as one for the people , and said the industry coming together face-to-face again was the highlight of the event .

“ One of the things I love most about our industry is the charisma , character and camaraderie of the people ,” said Adrian , “ and this year the FIT Show reminded us all just how important and impressive that is .

“ Quickslide took a last-minute large space at the show so , as well as showing off our flagship Legacy Vertical Slider , we were lucky to benefit from a generous casual seating area , encouraging many new and familiar faces to come and sit down for a chat with the Quickslide team .

“ It was great just to be together again and talk . Plus , we have various new and

exciting products and solutions launching , so seeing visitors on-stand was a great opportunity to discuss how these can help Quickslide and its trade partners grow together going forward .”

For Adrian , everything about the FIT Show was right this year ; the exhibitors , the audience , the location , not to mention the timing , as it came at the end of a recent whistlestop tour of several Quickslide customers , which he documented in video posts on social media .

“ It has been so uplifting getting back out to see customers again . I ’ ve thoroughly enjoyed it and the FIT Show was the icing on the cake ,” he said . “ There was so much energy and positivity on display , along with plenty of innovation .”

“ We always knew about the issue of stretching gaskets , but the FIT Show made us realise it is even more widespread than we thought ,” says Chris Byers , Managing Director at Extrudaseal . “ It was a major topic of conversation which meant that PremaSeal was the most popular product with visitors to the show .”

After developing PremaSeal in 2020 using anti-stretch

technology , the leading industry show provided the first opportunity for customers to see the new gasket in person and they were impressed with what they saw .
