VEKA UK Group Marketing Director Dawn Stockell explains: “3D Laminates provides 28mm silica infill panels for use in doors, sidescreens and windows, and - here’s the really important part – they can be laminated in the exact same finish as our Variations colour options. “This removes the hassle of having to spray panels and com- pletely eliminates the potential for mismatching shades occurring between laminated profile and sprayed panels. “These panels are available in all 14 of the ex-stock colours in the Variations collection and can be laminated both sides, different colours each side, or laminated externally with the inside left in base white to match VEKA’s white profile. “Excitingly, these laminated panels can even be specified in VEKA UK Group’s unique new SPECTRAL finish, which is ex- clusive to VEKA and its subsidi- aries. “We chose to demonstrate the high quality infill panels from 3D laminates on some of our FIT Show products; the Imagine Bi-Fold Door was given a unique style twist for the Show, featuring solid, colour-matched panels in SPECTRAL’s Umbra Grey on both sides, while the Halo PVCu door was engineered in a contempo- rary design with a SPECTRAL Graphite Black outer and Vari- ations White Woodgrain inner. Both systems were met with a very positive response from visi- tors to the stand. “The VEKA UK Group name is synonymous with quality and re- liability, and this is another exam- ple of how we strive to support customers with the perfect prod- uct for every project. By ensuring that profile and panels match exactly, we offer the industry’s most reliable solution to what can be a frustrating problem.” Panels from 3D laminates are a secure solution that will not bow, bend or crack. They are also UV stable for a minimum of 10 years on both white and coloured fin- ishes. Panels can be supplied to customers as a full sheet measur- ing 3000 x 1250 x 28mm, or 3D Laminates’ professional cutting service can cut them to bespoke sizes, making this the largest pan- el option on the UK market. PATIOMASTER ON THE RIGHT TRACK AT FIT As the homeowner trend for wide expanses of glass shows no sign of slowing, it’s perhaps hardly surprising that interest in PatioMaster’s Triple-track slid- ing patio door system at the FIT Show was high. Gerald Allen, Marketing Manager at Epwin Window Systems, commented: “The Triple-track system offers up to 25% more open space than a conventional patio door, delivering the open-house feel homeowners are looking for, even with smaller frame sizes. It attracted a great deal of interest from visitors to the show.” The Triple-track is often shown as an alternative to a bi-fold door, but it offers several key advantages over its rival. There are no panes of glass encroaching on inside or outside space when they’re open. And when they’re closed, they offer a greater uninterrupted view of the ‘FIRST OF ITS TYPE’ TAPE Foam sealant tape company ISO-CHEMIE has linked-up with other indus- try leaders in a new part- nership that will provide a package of benefits for the fenestration sector. The initiative, launched at FIT Show 2019, sees the specialist in window and door-sealing solutions join with profile supplier Kom- merling, glass processor St Gobain and several other industry specialists, in a move that provides a comprehen- sive ‘cradle-to-grave’ service. Spanning everything to do with fenestration, customers taking advantage of the partnership are set to benefit from exclusive preferential rates and direct expertise around product specification, window sales, installation, aftercare and technical support. With sector leaders in glass, composite doors and secondary glazing in the partnership, ISO-CHEMIE’s national sales manager Andy Swift said the development is an industry first. ISO-CHEMIE’s tapes re- move the need for silicone or trims around doors and windows which can, ac- cording to Andy Swift, lead to up-sell opportunities by creating an A rated instal- lation, not just an A rated window. www.iso-chemie.eu outside world because the panels can be up to 1,500mm wide, much wider than on a bi-fold. As well as homeowner benefits, the system also offers benefits to installers. The rollers are edge-lo- cated for easy adjustment. There is a full range of ancillary products including cills, add-ons and cou- plers, posts and extension pro- files. There is also a mechanically jointed version for hard to access locations. Also attracting interest at FIT was PatioMaster’s announcement that all doors will be fitted with upgraded ERA hardware from Autumn 2019 and PAS24:2016 compliant doors will be covered by the Neigh- bourhood Watch-recognised ERA Lifetime Guarantee. In the event of a break-in it covers homeowners for the cost of a replacement door plus £5,000 compensation. www.epwinwindowsystems.co.uk
