gala dinner proved to be ‘a roaring suc-
cess.’ It was the first gala dinner at the
show’s new home, the NEC, Birmingham,
and attracted record numbers of over 1,000
guests.
They arrived to a champagne reception
and a Burlesque-themed layout and stage in
the main hall, based on Paris and the Mou-
lin Rouge. But in place of Ewan McGregor,
proceedings were hosted by TV presenter
and star of SOS DIY: The Big Build, Nick
Knowles.
Aside from the fire jugglers, acrobats,
dancers, singers and a hilarious monologue
from Nick Knowles where he read a piece
of product feedback he saw on Amazon’s
website, the evening also played host to the
FIT Show Awards, the Master Fitter Chal-
lenge winners and the Installation of the
Year overall winner.
Following an epic grand finale, guests
danced until the early hours of Thursday
morning.

on its 200 sq m stand at FIT
Show.
Hugh Moss, head of
marketing, said: “We had
one of the biggest alumini-
um stands at the show and
a huge amount of footfall.
The show benefited from a
record number of visitors
and we certainly met up
with a lot of potential new
customers.
“We had some spectacular
applications of sliding, fold-
ing and open-corner patio
doors at FIT, as well as win-
dows in a range of design
variants. We also showcased
our impressive multi-level
drainage curtain walling, as
well as some European-in-
spired product exclusives.”
The company’s open-cor-
ner CP 130 sliding door was
a big hit with visitors as
were the lift and slide doors
and the new high perfor-
mance window SL 68. See
