CUSTOMERS NEED TO
IMPROVE HOME SECURITY
A survey conducted among customers of IronmongeryDirect,
and in support of National Home Security Month, has
revealed that most tradespeople think their customers
need to improve security on their properties.
Of the 733 tradespeople
surveyed, 86% said they thought
customers’ premises could be
better secured, and another 86%
stated customers only purchased
security products after a break-
in.
This is a matter for concern
considering that research by the
National Home Security Month
campaign shows a home is five
times more likely to be broken
into if no security is in place, com-
pared to at least some measures
being taken.
