VEKA are now very much a
part of that mix.”
The contract, via main
contractor Keepmoat Homes
and Ipswich Borough Council, was for all 1,000-plus
frames in 108 new houses,
the biggest housing project
the borough had undertaken for half a century.

Plastic Thermal Reinforcements (PTRs) made of 100%
recycled PVCu. Our new
multi-chambered solutions
deliver excellent U-values
and do not require reinforcement and this specification is our very latest 3rd

all deliver the latest A+ and
Certass A* WERs and the
multi-chambered profile
solutions will typically secure a U-value of 1.3W/m2K

A-rated WERs without the
need to use Low Iron glass
is a big advantage for Synseal 70mm PVCu windows
fabricated with multi-chambered outer and sash frame
profiles in combination.

Large contract awarded
to Installer of the Year
The Window Company (Contracts) has even
more to celebrate than being voted Installer of
the Year at the G14 Awards; it has also been
awarded a 1,000-frame contract after teaming
up with Glazerite Windows Ltd and VEKA.
The Chelmsford-based
commercial installer
was looking to bid for
the job, which specified the VEKA system
by name, after an earlier supplier contract
fell through, as Managing Director David
Thornton explained:
“We were not using
VEKA at the time but I
remembered meeting up
with Glazerite at the FIT
Show so I gave them a
call. Thanks to them, we
were not only able to step
into the breach but we
were able to be on site
within three weeks of
signing.
“We had actually contacted
a number of VEKA suppliers
but Glazerite came back
with the right price and the
right attitude. Since then, we
‘we are very
happy with
our working
relationship’
have partnered with Glazerite and VEKA products on
a number of other projects
and we are very happy with
our working relationship.
We have always been committed to installing more
These new frame profile configurations are
thermally efficient and
can achieve A-rated
WERs when glazed with
28mm DG units without
the need for Low Iron
glass.
Previously only available
for the popular Legend system, multi-chambered profile designs have generated
strong fabricator demand
and so Synseal has invest-
ed in design and extrusion
of multi-chambered sash
profiles to complete the
offerings for the company’s chamfered Shield and
sculptured ovolo SynerJy
systems.
Steve Brown, Synseal’s
Products & Customer Service Director, said: “Many of
our customers still favour
