Pro Installer Guide to All Doors - Issue 01 | Page 6
Helping your business grow
When there are so many composite door fabricators, what is it
that really makes the difference when choosing a supplier?
Making a real difference
T
he success of composite doors has led
to an increasing number of companies
fabricating them. According to the April
2015 Fabricator & Installer Market Report
from InsightData, there are now 392 composite door fabricators.
New entrants to the market usually
results in more choice for customers and
encourages design and product enhancements; all great news. But the increasing
amount of advertising noise from companies who are ‘the leading composite door
supplier’ or similar can make it confusing
when choosing who to buy your doors
from! Lorna Rose, new National Sales
Director (Trade), explains some key points
to consider, and how Safedoors can make
a difference.
Safedoors specialises in manufacturing
to the trade and draws on knowledge
and experience from three decades in the
industry. As part of the Epwin Group, it has
the ability and financial backing to invest
in improving the quality and value of its
offering. Safedoors operates from modern
manufacturing facilities using extensive
automation and computerised systems, including several CNC machines, providing
improved capacity, reliability and quality.
With consumers increasingly looking
at personalising their properties to make
them stand out from the rest, quality and
choice are obvious considerations. So

it makes sense to work with suppliers
that can offer a comprehensive range of
quality products, to provide customers
with the choices and options to satisfy
their needs – and budgets! Unlike many
suppliers, Safedoors manufactures two
extensive ranges – the Diamond range in
GRP finish and the recently-extended
Platinum Collection with a thermoplastic
finish. They offer a wide choice of styles,
an extensive variety of colours and
accessories, including a new, improved
selection of hardware and glazing. Whether
it is impressive contemporary designs with
stylish long or curved pull handles or
classic traditional designs with matching
glazing, Safedoors caters for all tastes.
Each door is a high quality, energy-efficient and durable product with virtually
no maintenance, backed by a comprehensive 10 year guarantee. The GRP faces
are through colour, so they never need
painting, and the thermoplastic-faced
doors are encapsulated to add quality. All
have high resistance to denting, warping
and splitting and are peel, flake, crack and
fade resistant. With PAS 24 and Secured
by Design products, Safedoors’ products
are also able to comply with the very latest
regulations around security - Approved
Document Q (Security) - coming into
effect in October 2015.
When it comes to why customers buy
composite doors - quality, choice, energy-efficiency, durability, low maintenance,
security, price and service - Lorna knows
that Safedoors can confidently tick all the
boxes. She firmly believes, however, that it’s
simply not enough these days just to have
the best doors on the market; customers
want more support to help them grow
their businesses. Lorna has been visiting
and speaking to customers, discussing
their needs and is encouraged by their
response.
She comments: “Many customers are
excited about the possibility of expert
support because they are too busy to focus
on the regular marketing activities required
to develop their business and often aren’t
sure of the most cost-effective ways of
doing it.”
Safedoors is committed to developing the
most comprehensive range of marketing
support available on the market for
customers and help tailor options to their
specific needs. Support is already available
through the Door Selector and online
quoting and ordering facility, through the
customer portal on the Safedoors website.
This is currently being developed to make
it what will be the latest technology on
the market. The website itself will also be
updated to make it more relevant and easy
to use. But there’s a whole lot more that
Safedoors can offer.
Lorna confirms that: “Safedoors is able
to offer and is developing what is probably
the most comprehensive range of marketing support in the market today and will
be announcing it shortly. We recognise that
not every customer’s needs are the same, so
we are happy to come and talk with them
and agree what we feel is best for them. We
want to provide the best support tailored
to each customer’s needs – support that
really can make a difference.”
