A Nu-Era

New Wave Door specialist manufacturer, Nu-Era Doors is a relatively new
company which has established its place in the marketplace as a specialist
in the manufacturer of the uniquely designed slide and Swing door system.
Neil Dattini, talks to Pro Installer about how the business has become
a New Wave Door specialist manufacturer, enabling them to offer trades
people select and useful installation techniques.
The company was formed a year and a half ago by Neil and his business
partner Suki Sohal. A perfect partnership, Neil previously had a successful
sales career working for the Epwin Group, while Suki had over nine years
experience in manufacturing operations in the family business, Hi-Spec
Supplies.
Neil comments: “We came together by chance. I was looking for a new
venture and Suki was working for his father at the time’. “We wanted to
adopt a product from which we could dedicate all our efforts and become
a manufacturing specialist. The New Wave Slide and Swing door system
was a new entry to the market at the time and was proving to be a success
among consumers.”
Released by Deceuninck in July 2014, the New Wave Slide & Swing
Door is a new-generation multi-pane patio door which enables homeowners to maximise their living space, opening up the space between the
home and the conservatory or garden.
Unlike bi-folding doors, the New Wave Slide & Swing system does
not encroach on internal living room or patio space when opening or
closing, allowing the end-user to be able to open any part of the door for
ventilation or access.
When closed, the doors interlock together creating a solid wall that
is extremely secure and far more secure than a conventional bi-folding
door.
Neil added: “The New Wave Slide & Swing door system stands out from
other systems in the industry; with seamless sightlines and no protruding
hardware it is easy to operate and secure. The system boasts a Kitemark
accredited lock making it one of the securest systems on the market. It
also has an excellent thermal weatherproof performance.

“Maximum door height is 2200mm and we can do various width sizes
from 1200mm as a two pane door up to a six pane door with a 5500mm
opening. The system boasts a patented design - Magnaline™ slide and
stack technology that gives it a distinct diversity of style and design.” Neil
adds.
Since being established in May 2014, Nu-Era Doors has successfully
grown along with its workforce, with further staff being recruited this
month (July), the manufacturer is showing no signs of slowing down, doubling the amount of doors ordered from the same time last year. Nu-Era
Doors intend to expand the New Wave range to patio doors this month
and as a sole manufacturer of the door system. Since starting the company,
Neil and Suki have been able to guide and offer advice in many ways to
installers of the doors, all gained from talking and collating information
from other customers.
Neil explains: “Although transportation and installation is fast and
uncomplicated, the Nu-Era Doors team want to help installers as much as
possible, ensuring customer satisfaction remains high.
“We don’t dismiss any issues as it is in our interests for the door to be
fitted and work well. The more installers can learn from us the better.
That’s why we always want to hear feedback from our customers. We want
tradespeople to be able to learn from each other’s experiences so we invite
feedback that we can then give to our new and existing customers to help
them fit the product right.” Neil adds.
