‘ALUPLAST’ IN POLE POSITION
Keith White, Managing
Director aluplast in the UK, has
become a double historic car
race Champion, claiming the
2018 Classic F3 Championship
for the second time.
Competing in a 2000cc Ralt
RTI Toyota, Keith edged ahead
in a hard-fought campaign,
to seize the top spot on the
podium with 80 points for the
2018 season.
“It was an exceptionally
close finish – we actually tied
on points with another team,
winning because over the sea-
son we recorded more higher
placed finishes”, explained
Keith.
“We’re racing in cars run
competitively in Formula 3,
and there’s a huge amount
of history on the track, with
classic racing enjoying a real
resurgence.
“We were delighted to come
in top in a season which deliv-
ered it’s fair share of technical
challenges and which was
fought very competitively,
right up until its close.”
The Classic Formula 3
Championship is for cars
originally built to compete
and race in F3 between 1971
and 1984. It covers two eras
of F3 racing: the 1600cc
twin-cam cars used up until
1974, when the category
shifted up a gear to 2-litre
cars.
The Ralt RTI was first
produced in 1974 and raced
in Formula Two, and Formula
Atlantic, in addition to Formu-
la 3.

EMPLAS TEAM HAS A ‘BOUNCE IN ITS STEP’
AHEAD OF AIR AMBULANCE CHARITY RUN
A team from Emplas
will be put through their
paces in a 5K inflatable
charity fun run, to raise
funds for the Warwickshire
and Northamptonshire Air
Ambulance.
With a fundraising target
of £1,500 to hit, the event
on March the 30th com-
bines a traditional 5K fun
run with 15 of the world’s
most demanding inflatable
obstacles.
John Leary, Sales and
Marketing Director, said:
“The Air Ambulance does
an amazing job and we’re
delighted to be able to
support it.
“5K doesn’t sound a lot
but I’ve been told that when
you’re scrabbling up and
down inflatable obstacles
it’s a very different experi-
ence! I have also been stu-
pid enough to sign myself
up for the 10K option!
“With 19 of us taking
part, we’ve set a fundrais-
ing target of £1,500 but
we hope to go beyond this
and raise much more for
a charity which is there to
support each and every one
of us when we need it the
most.”
The Warwickshire and
Northamptonshire Air
Ambulance is part of the
Air Ambulance Service,
which receives no gov-
ernment funding, and
attends 1,000 missions
a year, with each mission
costing approximately
£1,700. To stay operational
the charity needs to raise
around £1.7m a year
