ROTO’S NEW TWIN-CAM
SECURITY LOCK SETS
NEW STANDARDS IN
BURGLAR-PROOFING
Hardware technology giant Roto says a look at the current
crime statistics demonstrates the importance of effective
burglary protection - practically everywhere across Europe.
The company’s new Twin-Cam
Security Lock (TSL) sets new
standards in burglar-proof
outward opening PVCu, timber
and aluminium windows starting from a width and height of
305mm.
‘based on the tried
and tested Roto
NT technology’
The Roto TSL security espagnolette is characterised by a special
one-piece espagnolette connecting
rod with up to eight locking points.
It is based on the tried and tested
Roto NT technology. If the window handle is turned, the geared
mechanism actuates four adjustable,
reverse-action twin cams. This ensures maximum burglary protection
based on PAS 24:2012 and increases
the sash’s gasket-compression on
the frame.
Two screws fix the twin cams’
strikers to the profile and prevent
them from twisting, even if a great
force is applied. As the Roto TSL
security espagnolette has left-right
or double-sided strikers, windows
fitted with this security espagnolette
also provide an integrated night
ventilation function.
Thanks to its compact design, the
new Roto TSL security espagnolette
is also ideal for installation in extremely small, 305mm to 1,600mm
high or wide windows as well as in
a large range of different profiles.
The espagnolette is available for
20mm and 22mm back sets and
can be used in a euro-standard
groove and euro-flat groove. It is
delivered with the standard unique
Roto Sil Nano surface-finish quality.
This means that it is extremely
scratch-resistant and provides outstanding corrosion protection.
The new Roto TSL provides window fabricators with an extremely
easy-to-install security espagnolette.
Its flexibility reduces manufacturing
costs, while all of the required individual components’ clear labelling
minimizes the risk of installation
errors. Its 8 and 9.5mm high locking cams enable a +/- 1mm variable
gasket-compression adjustment.
