Gearing Up For Ecobuild 2014
CAB is delighted to announce that it will be
hosting a 100 square
metre Aluminium Pavilion for member companies at Ecobuild 2014
(4-6 March), which
promises to be a must
attend exhibition.
The Pavilion situated in
the North Hall will showcase the environmental
benefits of aluminium
to visitors at what is the
world’s leading event for
sustainable design, construction, energy and the
built environment. The
format for CAB will be
one of a drop in lounge
where visitors can relax
and discuss their current or
future use of aluminium in
construction. The Aluminium Pavilion will be one of
a very limited number of
pavilions at the show and
will be accommodating several CAB members across
the aluminium in building
supply chain.
‘the world’s
leading event
for sustainable
design,
construction,
energy and the
built environment’
Visitors to the CAB stand
can be guided through
independent research and
regulatory websites to
answer important questions about the material.
Crucially, advice given will
be the most up to date and
CAB’s experienced technical team lead by Dr Justin
Furness, CAB’s Technical
Director, will be on hand
across the three days of the
exhibition.
Authoritative technical brochure
documents Synseal’s Legend
Boasting an extensive range of 70mm
PVC-U profiles, Synseal’s market-leading
Legend is a highly
flexible system that
can be used for both
residential and commercial applications
and now all available
specification options
are summarised in
a new authoritative
technical brochure.
This 28-page publication presents Legend’s
choice of Chamfered and
Ovolo profile suites in
one handy document,
with detailed information
on frame and insulated
glass unit configurations
to achieve different WER
ratings and U-values which can be as low as
1.6 W/m2K using 28mm
double glass and 0.7 W/
m2K using 40mm triple
glass.
Kitemark and Agrement
quality assurance certifications for the Legend system
are documented, together
with recycled environmen-
tal options, foiled colour
finishes and section drawings illustrating profile configurations for casements,
tilt and turn windows,
residential doors, bi-fold
and inline patio doors.
The new Legend brochure is designed to fit into
the Synseal specification
binder. The ring-bound
technical folder contains
comprehensive information on Synseal’s current
product ranges - which
is provided by individual
brochures - so the folder’s
contents can be tailored
to meet specific customer
requirements.
Mark Schlotel, Synseal’s
Head of Marketing, concluded: “We are steadily
building a commanding
array of authoritative
technical brochures covering the entire range of
Synseal products and this
new Legend publication is
sure to prove popular with
architects, housebuilders,
window specifiers, fabricators and professional
installers.”
Freefoam Work
With Installers To
Close The Deal
When Trinity Methodist
Church in Kidderminster needed to replace
their existing roofline
they turned to Freefoam Building Products
consumer focussed
website: www.Myrooflinematters.co.uk
After obtaining a price
from a local builder church
custodian Stephen Howles
wanted a comparable quote
to ensure that the church
was getting best value. He
found the Roofline information on the website and
liked the 50 year lifetime
guarantee with products
provided by Freefoam.
“Being able to get a
realistic quotation from a
local installer via the site
was also excellent,” he said.
The quotation request was
passed to roofline specialist
Stourbridge-based Homeclad Ltd, who arranged a
full survey and itemised
quotation. Work took place
to replace roofline on the
main façade of the church
and the attached community buildings, a total of 50
metres of fascia.
Colin St John, UK General Manager commented:
“We know that any lead
can be worth its weight in
gold and we treat each one
as such. We have put in a
rigorous process to follow
right through from initial
qualification to final completion, keeping everyone
informed and working with
installers to help them close
the deal.”
