The latest product designs and technological advances are all very well , but installers also need to ensure that the fabricators they partner with can offer them more than simply great windows and doors , as Quickslide ’ s Managing Director Ben Weber explains .
You ’ d be forgiven for thinking Quickslide is all about products at the moment , what with the launch of its new enhanced Legacy vertical slider with its slim line midrail and refined run-through sash horns , as well as the company ’ s whopping £ 1.71m purchase of a bespoke Schirmer machining centre that will make producing its flagship windows faster and better and at greater capacities than ever before . But behind the scenes Quickslide has had even more going on than meets the eye . Things that might not be quite so obvious to see just yet , but which are about to change the way their trade partners can do business with them .
“ It takes much more to be successful in our industry than just offering great products and

quality ,” says Managing Director Ben Weber .
“ Great marketing is the key to letting people know what we ’ re about , and offering our trade partners the best marketing support is a huge focus of ours . It means our installers can do the volume of business they need to do to be successful and of course that , in turn , is the key to our success .”
As such , Quickslide is currently working on producing 360-degree interactive product images along with a bespoke web page that covers unique features , customisations , technical data , videos , and much more that trade partners can include on their own websites .
“ We want all our products to be easily accessible to customers , in the round ,” says Ben . “ We ’ re creating the web page in such a way that any developments and product changes will automatically update , so customers will always have the latest information at their fingertips .
“ We ’ re continually working hard to ensure our products stay at the top of their game and we
|
want to make sure this is reflected in our marketing of them , so that we can show off the best that we offer as soon as it ’ s available .”
When it comes to customer service , Quickslide are also upping the ante , making sure customers can stay up to date with the latest delivery information , and even process their own orders entirely .
“ We ’ re setting up delivery notifications and delivery tracking , so our customers will be able to set up their own triggers for notifications ,” says Ben . “ Because who wants to wait in for a delivery in this day and age ?
“ Being able to set up a text notification for when a delivery is 30 minutes away , for example , also means our trade partners can spend their time more profitably , like out on site doing what they do best .”
Quickslide has also started rolling out Touch , the window industry ’ s first end-to-end ordering system . It means Quickslide ’ s trade partners will be able to generate instant quotes and even place orders directly , saving time but also , crucially , enabling trade partners to stay in control and in the know about their orders from the moment they ’ re placed .
“ We have Touch up and running now , and it is already
|
being trialled by some of our customers ,” says Ben . “ It ’ s early days for us and our partners , but the option is now there for those customers who are confident they have the technical ability to process their own orders , and we expect to see the number of our installers placing their orders online themselves increase going into 2024 .
“ From our new ‘ interactive ’ 360 ° imagery , to placing an order online , through to delivery notifications – we ’ re streamlining
|
the whole way our trade partners can work with us to best effect . Because we ’ re always looking for innovative ideas that help our partners do business with us .
“ It ’ s all about driving our trade partners ’ success , and letting our installers focus on installing . Because let ’ s face it , the best doors and windows in the world don ’ t really mean anything until they ’ re actually in people ’ s homes , do they ?”
