2022 – THE YEAR OF INVESTMENT , INNOVATION AND CHOICE
Christmas came early to CWG , Corby factory . Not just a sack full of goodies , but two eight-wheeled trucks all the way from Turkey ; bringing us the fruits of a £ 1M-plus investment . These two trucks were the forerunners for the new TIMBERWELD centre that is based at Corby . This is very exciting for all involved , as it puts CWG to the forefront of TIMBERWELD technology in the UK .
The product that will go through the Timberweld process is the ‘ Residence Collection ’ of products namely R9- R2- R7- doors . The major innovation that will put CWG into the front of Timberweld manufacture is the fact that both the sashes and the outer frames will feel like timber . This will give a fantastic finish and show the true meaning of looks like timber .
To make sure that we get the very best out of this investment , in order to produce the perfect finished product , the factory has had two major extensions . These extensions will mean that all the profile for immediate use will be stored within the main factory . This allows the profile to get to the required temperature prior to going into the machine centre .
This will be of even greater benefit if we do get a spell of really cold weather . Of course , it will also mean a lot to the operatives who do not like going outside in harsh weather either .
We are sure that homeowners are going to be really impressed when they see CWG ’ s ‘ residence
collection ’ products . The product they want with Timberweld sashes and outerframe in the colour they want . With the year-end fast approaching , it is worth thinking back to see how far CWG has come in 2022 .
‘
With all these innovations in place , we are very excited by the thought of 2023 . We now have the technology to produce really excellent frames in aluminium , PVC and timber
’
It started off with a well-attended Open Day where CWG showed off its new purpose-built factory for the manufacture of aluminium doors and windows .
As for many , it has been a frustrating year with all the requirements in place to manufacture product , but supply problems preventing us from receiving the raw material from which to manufacture the product - on time . Nevertheless , perseverance was the key and product did get out to our customers .
The year progressed with more than its share of trials and tribulations created by others well outside the control of the Company . This made worse by the fact that we have sister companies abroad , so had even greater problems caused by importing goods .
The second new innovation launch during the year was the introduction of the KUBU System . This is the security enhancement for Kömmerling products . Perhaps its greatest asset is that it provides ‘ peace of mind ’ for the customer . We all forget to shut a window or lock a door , but now we can put ourselves in the position of being informed what we have forgotten , before it is too late .
There has been huge interest and we are sure many will benefit from this great innovation .
The third major innovation in the year was the arrival of the
CWG with Kubu to the Home
Kubu the smart techn that notifies the homeowner if they lea their home unsecured machinery for producing frames using the TIMBERWELD system - as already covered we know this will be a huge success .
Kubu , now ensures all With all these innovations in place , we are very excited by the thought of 2023 . We now have the technology to produce really excellent frames in aluminium , PVC timber . In addition , as standard . this new technology will help us achieve our aim to produce quality products ‘ on time ’ and above all , make dealing with CWG an
