DECEMBER 2019 | 21 News Read online at www.proinstaller.co.uk KIT ROOF DEMAND HELPS SUPALITE CELEBRATE RECORD MONTH With high demand for its range of replacement conservatory and orangery roof kits, the team at Su- paLite celebrated a record month for the company in October. In a bumper month for the Preston-based manufac- turer, SupaLite saw a 20% increase in orders, helping to surpass their previous best month. In fact, the firm set a remarkable new record, manufacturing and supplying well over 70 roof kits in one week alone. In addition to the de- mand for kit-based roof systems, SupaLite has seen a growing number of partners take advantage of the new part-fabricated roof service, designed for smaller fabricators who may lack the facilities to hold bar-length material. It has also seen a positive re- sponse to the new product lines including Sky Vista, a high-performance solid tiled roof with full-length glazed feature panels. Wes Clarkson, Commer- cial Manager at SupaLite believes the rise in demand is in line with the prime- time homeowners look to improve the performance of their conservatories. Wes comments: “Tradi- tional polycarbonate roofs are renowned for making conservatories too hot in the summer and unbeliev- ably cold in the winter. However, with the kids off and many families away on summer holidays, home- owners are often too busy in the summer to make any changes and instead get ready for winter, when they’ll see the biggest ben- efit. This is a regular trend we see here at SupaLite, but it has certainly been more pronounced this year thanks to a challenging housing market and gener- al uncertainty.” www.supaliteroof.co.uk Bradley Scott Windows is thrilled to be IN Tamworth-based in- staller Bradley Scott Windows has changed over to Halo PVCu systems and joined Independent Network (IN), accessing the countless benefits that come with these organisa- tions. MD Andy Farrington is delighted with the results so far: “It’s still early days, but I’d say that VEKA UK ticks all the boxes for our business. It provides everything needed for Bradley Scott Windows, without being pushy or compromising the compa- ny’s independence. Mem- bership of Independent Network has proven to be a really valuable way to put potential customers at ease, especially when combined with the backing of Which? Trusted Traders. “There’s masses of help and advice at every stage, so there’s a clear and cohe- sive ‘journey to market’. We can tell our customers all about the quality of the raw materials manufactured into profile at VEKA, and every stage of the fabrication process with Listers, right through to the final product installed in their home. We’ve now got technical support, datasheets, busi- ness advice, sales training, safety training, marketing materials and showroom advice… the list goes on.” www.inveka.co.uk MORLEY GETS SET FOR FIT SHOW RETURN Integral blinds manu- facturer Morley Glass & Glazing is getting ready for its second appearance as exhibitor when the 2020 show opens next May (12th-14th). The business is hop- ing to impress visitors to the show with a 110m² exhibition stand, more than double the size of its 42m² stand in 2019, which featured interactive tools to highlight the benefits of high-quality Uni- Blind sealed units with ScreenLine integral blinds inside. Building on the success of the 2019 show, Morley will be proudly exhibiting its complete range of tried and trusted Uni-Blinds® options, alongside some- thing a little different and entirely new for the busi- ness, on stand F25. In 2020 Morley will be introducing its new and improved smartphone app, created by home integra- tion company Loxone, after being inundated with requests from customers to help them easily incor- porate integral blinds into electric-powered home au- tomation systems as well as operate them from their tablet or phone. www.morleyglass.co.uk SASH WINDOW GIANT APPOINTS PURPLEX Victorian Sliders, Europe’s largest fabricator of PVC-U sash windows, has appointed Purplex as its strategic mar- keting partner. The specialist fabricator operates from a purpose-built 240,000 sq. ft state- of-the-art production facility based in Carmarthenshire and was voted Ver- tical Sliding Window Company of the Year at the recent National fenestration Awards. And for Andy Jones, who recently joined Victorian Sliders as Group Managing Director, partnering with the leading PR, creative and digital marketing agency for the fenestration industry makes perfect sense. “Victorian Sliders is already established as the major force in sash windows with over 3,000 customers,” explained Andy. “However, as VS’s move from niche to mainstream we need a partner who under- stands the market and has the fire-power to help us scale. Purplex was the obvious choice.” Andrew Scott, founder and CEO of Pur- plex, said: “Niche products such as sash windows is the fastest growing and most profitable opportunity within the market. At Purplex we have worked extensively to promote these products and help stimulate the market.” www.purplexmarketing.com
