MORLEY DONATION MAKES A
DIFFERENCE FOR LEEDS CHARITY
A Harehills-based youth charity
1st and 2nd
Place Honours
for Quickslide
in NFA Awards
Weeks of anticipation were finally
over when Quickslide were announced
as winners of the National Fenestration
Awards’ Vertical Sliding Window Compa-
ny category on 2nd November. The NFA’s
Winners Week commenced on Monday 29th
October and was filled with surprises, as
just one day before their champions’ victory
the Yorkshire-based firm were awarded
second place in the Sliding Patio Door Com-
pany category behind contemporary-style
winners Eurocell.
It’s not surprising though, when the man
at the helm is slowly becoming synonymous
with the attitude that windows should be
viewed ‘as furniture’. Chairman Adrian Barr-
aclough believes that the aesthetic qualities
of windows are just as important as their
practical uses and should be considered for
alteration or modernisation with the same
frequency as carpets or curtains.
“Winning a category that Quickslide feels
so passionate about is fantastic, and we are
indebted to the designers and engineers
who make our products as beautifully func-
tional and visually pleasing as they are.”

MASTERFRAME TEAM WINS TWO
TOP FENESTRATION AWARDS
Having won Timber Alternative
Company in 2017, the team at Masterframe
Windows are delighted to have won two top
National Fenestration awards in 2018. The
first award was top spot along with Listers
in the most prestigious of the NFA awards,
Fabricator/Manufacturer 2018.
According to the National Fenestration
website “This award had the longest voting
list by far. It was also the category that we
had the most nominations in and is the
most populous part of the industry and
perhaps the most competitive. “
Carol Slade, Sales & Operations Director
said “It was a very competitive category and
we were nominated alongside 23 big names
in the fenestration industry. As a relatively
small family business, who only manufac-
tures PVC-U sash windows, we are extreme-
ly proud of this achievement.
The second award received was Best New
Product for Timberweld®, the patented
method used by Masterframe to create per-
fectly sealed timber effect corners. ”

logue and product advertising. An

development for the new website

early in 2019.
