It’s all in the weld
for Vuelta flush
sash windows
Vuelta by Visage, the new flush
sash window from Shepley looks
amazing and it’s all in the weld.
Visage flush sash gives the
appearance of a traditional timber
joint on the outside. While it looks
hand finished, it has the strength
you’d expect from a PVCu weld.
Epwin Window
Systems joins Made
in Britain campaign
Epwin Window Systems
has just announced it has
become an official mem-
ber of the Made in Britain
campaign.
The Made in Britain cam-
paign aims to bring together
the entire manufacturing
community in Britain so
businesses can benefit in
sales, marketing, exports
and PR. It encourages buy-
ers, specifiers and consum-
ers to treat the Directory
as the procurement site for
British-made goods and an
invaluable way to find new
suppliers and buyers.
All of Epwin Window Sys-
tems’ operations are based
in the UK and are covered
by regulations designed to
protect the environment. By
keeping its production in
the UK, it does not contrib-
ute unnecessarily to trans-
port pollution, plus it has
control over its supplies, its
sources and its quality.
UK production also offers
another clear benefit for an-
yone working with or living
with the products.
Made in Britain is a
fast-growing community of
like-minded manufacturers
from all around the UK. By
joining the campaign, Epwin
Window Systems is high-
lighting to the industry that
it is making products right
here in Britain to the very
highest of standards.
“We didn’t want to take
a backwards step with de-
signing a flush sash window,
so we looked for a new way
of welding rather than a
mechanical joint to create a
timber look frame without
compromising on strength
and performance,” says
Tony Ball, Sales Director at
top fabricator Shepley. “To
achieve this, we needed a
completely new welding
process as there was nothing
on the market that was up to

term tooling partner Jade
Engineering was already
working on their Mech-
Weld joint solution. Shepley
invested in MechWeld and
worked with Jade to perfect
this new welding system.
Dubbed ‘the architect’s choice’
because of its ultra-slim aesthetics
and clean sightlines, it was the
very first roof in the industry to do
away with the unsightly boss and
hood.
Already a trailblazer, Atlas is
now set to raise the bar once
again with an exciting new gen-

improved features, this incredible
lantern will herald the dawn of a
new era for the industry.
