The annual event, started by the long-running Coven- try Telegraph newspaper, exists to celebrate success, recognise achievement and showcase Warwickshire’s most outstanding and inno- vative businesses. The awards culminate in a glamorous presentation evening held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, routinely at- tended by hundreds of peo- ple from the area’s business community. The good news came just after Edgetech was nominat- tems has won the BPF Energy Award 2017 for the facility BPF/F00150 within the Climate Change Agree- ment. The award was given in recognition of the com- pany’s considerable ongoing commitment to energy re- duction throughout its state of the art Telford extrusion plant where all main profile systems are produced. In previous years the award was solely based around improvement in the Climate Change Agreement (CCA) Specific Energy Consumption (SEC). However, for the past two years the award has had a bias towards an absolute energy reduction criterion at facility level. As such, it is a mark of the success of the major investment made by Epwin Window Systems ed as G17 Component Sup- plier of the Year, and Spacer Bar Manufacturer 2017 in the National Fenestration Awards. Head of Marketing, Char- lotte Davies commented: “At Edgetech, we’re incred- ibly proud to be a thriving Midlands business, training and employing hundreds of local people over our decade of manufacturing in the area. “Recently investing over a million pounds in expand- ing our headquarters, we’re demonstrating our contin- uing commitment to the peo- ple of Coventry and War- wickshire more broadly.” Narrow frames and superior performance char- acterise Slimline 68, a new window system that’s been launched to the trade by al- uminium systems company Reynaers.
