Coordinating with white, anthracite and black frames

Let’ s start with the most popular colour for Venetian Uni-Blinds ® – White( S102). This accounts for around one third of all the Venetian systems we manufacture, coordinating seamlessly with white frames which still continue to account for around 60 % of all PVCu windows and doors installed in the UK. White is a good choice generally for integral blinds in homes with a bright, minimalistic‘ Scandi’ aesthetic, as well as projects where a deliberate contrast is sought, such as within black or anthracite coloured frames.

Talking of darker colour frames, where complementary appearance is the goal, there are a number of excellent options. Black frames look superb with Black( B160) Uni-Blinds ®, providing a bold contemporary look, of course. But for homeowners seeking something more subtle, Silver( S157), Slate Grey( S158) or Anthracite( S159) are also ideal. These colours are also our recommendations for anthracite frames, with the S159 integral blind slat offering a seamless aesthetic.

Agate grey – a rising star

Black is fast becoming one of the most popular colours for Venetian integral blinds, now accounting for 10 % of all units made, less than three years after it was launched. It is not the only rising star, however. Agate Grey( S120), a Morley Glass exclusive which we introduced in 2024, is also increasing in popularity in line with growing numbers of homeowners and housing developers choosing frames in this colour.

Given how well this option naturally complements agate grey frames it is the most obvious and compatible colour, but alternatives such as our Black and Slate Grey slats can also work by providing an interesting contrast.

Adding a wow-factor to woodgrain

Integral blinds also coordinate very well with woodgrain PVCu frames, whether they are a lighter tone such as various oak options or rosewood, or the darker mahogany. Silver and light grey slats can complement these types of frames beautifully, such as our Grey( S155) or Silver( S157), but we also recommend considering Beige( S125), Cream( S149) or White( S102) to partner woodgrains so that the integral blind provides a neutral backdrop.

Something a bit different?

Five further colours for Venetian Uni- Blinds ® can deliver striking and original visual appeal when used in the right

context. Beige and Cream, for example, can offer a warmer appearance than white, even in white frames, and they can complement other frame colours too.
