Tileform Ltd was founded by John Attley in 1976 , manufacturing the first ever ‘ ridge to eave ’ granulated tile effect sheet that could be used to replace old asbestos roofs as part of the BISF projects . In 1998 , John ’ s son , Lee , took over the business and renamed the company ‘ Britmet Tileform Ltd .’ And took to work designing and developing further profiles to offer a wider tile range to the marketplace . In 2019 , Britmet Tileform Ltd underwent an extensive re-branding exercise , transforming into what we now know as Britmet Lightweight Roofing .
