Read online at www.proinstaller.co.uk AUGUST 2020 | 15 News Group effort ‘Strength in numbers’ is more than a cliche; there’s few of us who don’t want to know our mates have our back, even if we don’t need them all the time. Alumate is part of a larger group; including Windoor Mate Ltd and Vintage uPVC Products, and while they all work separately they have a uniform approach of ‘great product, great people, great service, great to deal with’; a ‘fourmula’ that’s very difficult to disagree with. And, as Alumate itself was born from approximately a year of extensive research and preparation, it’s clear to see that the ‘journey to today’ is a culmination of every part of the group, every member in it, and all of their experiences up until now, making it the very definition of a great ‘group effort’ indeed. Investing interest The team behind Alumate are self-confessed ‘careful planners’ and not spontaneous risk takers; so you may not want to challenge them to a game of Chess. That said they are in the game of making strategic moves when it comes to reinvestment to consistently improve the brand and business. Again however, with careful planning, the money put back into people - machinery - processes; all helping Alumate to evolve efficiently, and effectively absorb any problems that come their way. Having moved into a new premises the exact same week as lockdown started, for example, would have been a terrifying thought for many. For Alumate, however, while of course they never could’ve planned for ‘that’, they had planned the move to such a precision that it was a smooth transition until it was business as usual once again. Check mate, Alumate. Here for the long haul Alumate prides itself on sustainability, and not just the first thing you think of when you hear that. Staying finance-focussed is not just a way for the Alumate team to stay calm in the face of adversity; it’s something that all of their customers - present and prospective - should take comfort in. Knowing that the company you buy a window or door from is going to outlast the guarantee or warranty you get with the unit shouldn’t be a worry, but sadly it sometimes is. Alumate knows it will be here in 10 years, 25 years, and so on; that’s why it’s the safe bet for its customers, and in turn their customers. Big enough to cope, small enough to care Seven things add up to eight words when it comes to Alumate; separately they might not mean much, but together they make a mighty motto. ‘Big enough to cope, small enough to care’ is the mantra that sets the tone for all the activities at Alumate. In their own words they don’t display it anywhere, or shout it out to anyone outside of the team, but having the attitude that they put in the hard work to grow and develop to the best of their potential while never turning their back on a customer; whether its a single replacement casement or a bespoke orangery design; is the heartbeat of all that matters at Alumate. www.alumate.co.uk
