15TH ANNIVERSARY PLAQUE
To help Mercury Glaz-
ing Supplies Limited mark
its 15th year in business,
Spectus recently presented
company owners and direc-

Paul Lindsay, Epwin Win-

said: “We were delighted to
present this plaque to Steve
and Martin. We have worked
with them and their team
throughout Mercury’s 15-
year history and we have a
very strong and productive

UK’s largest fabricators of
Spectus’ market-leading

a close continuous part-

looks set to grow even
stronger as Mercury plans
to grow its business by 35%
in the next three years. Paul
commented: “Mercury is a
progressive business that
offers a good quality and
service and we value the
strength of the relationship

ALUMINIUM VERANDAS
Fabricator Astraseal has
expanded its PVCu and aluminium
range to include premium veran-
das from the Milwood Group.
Continuing its commitment to
a diverse product range, which
provides installers with many
routes to market, Astraseal now of-
fers Milwood’s complete range of
aluminium verandas, carports and
canopies. Designed and manufac-
tured in the UK using high-quality
aluminium, the veranda systems
prove very popular among con-
sumers, looking to add value to
their property and create practical
outdoor living spaces.
“At Astraseal, we are always
trying to put our trade customers
in the strongest position and to
help them avoid dual-sourcing,”
comments Zac Nedimovic, Astra-
seal’s sales and marketing manag-
er. “Adding Milwood’s aluminium
veranda systems lets us provide
our installer clients with a quality
collection of products which are
easy to fit and can help both up-
sell and win new business.”

Clearview PVCu is the first
window installer in Scotland
to achieve the new TrustMark
Trading Standards Approved
accreditation.
TrustMark, the only govern-
ment-endorsed ‘find a trades-
person’ scheme in the UK, is
working with Buckinghamshire
& Surrey Trading Standards as
its primary authority partner to
deliver this national scheme.
Clearview PVCu applied to
become TrustMark registered
and successfully completed the
intelligence and DBS checks. By
passing these safeguards, the
business was then accredited
with Trading Standards Approved
status.
With no official schemes in
Scotland to govern the glass and
glazing industry, it was important
for Clearview PVCu to have the
TrustMark ‘Trading Standards
Approved’ logo so potential cus-
tomers would know they are em-
ploying a reputable, reliable firm
vetted by a TrustMark scheme
operator, the Glass and Glazing
Federation, and checked directly
by Trading Standards.
