ORNATE ORANGERY
AT NEW SHOWROOM
David Salisbury Joinery Ltd has opened its
first London showroom in the leafy grounds of
The Chelsea Gardener, Sydney Street, SW3.
The showroom takes the form of an
ornate and luxurious David Salisbury
designed and built orangery.
Featuring two traditional roof lanterns
and one impressive central glass dome, the
large structure measuring around 9m long
by 5.5m wide operates as a showroom for
prospective clients and also as a venue for
elegant garden parties. The orangery has
natural stone flooring from Ca’Pietre and
the blinds are supplied by Grants.
A five-year contract has been signed with
The Chelsea Gardener, a ‘green oasis in the
heart of Chelsea,’ which provides garden
design and maintenance services, a wide
array of shrubs and garden products plus a
tranquil venue for a host of events. David
Salisbury said: “We are delighted to be
associated with this unique enterprise at the
Chelsea Gardener.”

AWARDS FOR ENERGY-SAVING BUSINESSES
Comparison site Love Energy Savings is trying to find
the most energy-conscious
businesses in the UK and
reward such efforts with an
award.
The awards scheme was
launched last year and nominations are now being shortlisted for
this year’s competition in which
the company is trying to discover
which businesses across the coun-
try are going above and beyond
for the environment.
This year, the awards were
launched alongside World Environment Day in June, which aims to
promote awareness of environmental issues and encourage people to
take any action they can.
The four categories of the Love
Energy Savings awards this year
are Stars of the Future – aimed
at attracting exciting ideas that
‘We want businesses to be rew arded
for their efforts to become greener’
can cut energy bills and help the
environment, SME Saver, Super Saver and Innovative Saver. The SME
Saver category is sponsored by
ScottishPower.
Each supplier is sponsoring an
individual award, and will provide
a cash prize of at least £500. The
winning organisations can use their
prize to take their teams for a night
out.
Phil Foster, Managing Director
of Love Energy Savings, said: “We
want businesses to be rewarded
for their efforts to become greener.
With their winnings, we are hoping that companies will continue
their energy-saving journey with
a ‘blackout’ event, both to raise
awareness of how important it is
to be eco-friendly and to celebrate
their win with their staff.” Award
winners will be announced in the
second week of September.
