Hörmann UK have announced the launch of their RollMatic 2 roller garage door . Developed to specifically address the industry wide problem of scratching associated with roller doors , Hörmann have combined the inherent technological benefits from the original RollMatic with new features .
Using material technology originally developed for the Automotive market , Hörmann have added their unique Durabelt system which provides cushioning as the door curtain rolls up . Located within the barrel , Durabelt consists of a tape-like material which sits between the inner and outer face of the curtain and helps to reduce the risk of marking or scratching due to grit or other foreign objects . The reduction of lath-on-lath contact has also resulted in a noticeable reduction of noise .
Featuring a 77mm lath , RollMatic 2 is available as either internal or external roller options . It is available in heights from 1600mm to 3100mm and widths from 1000mm to 6000mm . RollMatic 2 is also supplied with Hörmann BlueSecur Bluetooth automation as standard , recognizing the growth within the end
consumer market for home automation accessed via a Smart phone .
Available in Traffic white and 13 RAL colours as well as Chartwell green and Noir sable ( Anthracite metallic ), RollMatic 2 is also available in two Decopaint and Decograin timber design options enabling installers to offer end consumers ample choice when personalising their garage door to match the design and style of their home .

UAP ADDS HORIZONTAL CYLINDER TO KINETICA + K4 RANGE
UAP Ltd , the specialist in locks and hardware for windows and doors , has launched a horizontal version of its industry-leading UAP Fullex Kinetica + K4 3 * cylinder , providing even more choice for specifiers looking for exceptional levels of security and ease of installation . Like the vertical version , it combines a number of innovative security features developed by UAP in a single cylinder to provide ease of installation and robust security . The horizontal design is perceived to offer even more robust levels of security , with up to 13 million different key combinations , thanks to six dimple pins and five laser track side pins .
Secured by Design accredited , BSI 3 * Kitemarked , and Sold Secure Diamond Standard approved , the new horizontal cylinder is one-hour fire rated and features UAP ’ s patented anti-bump timing pin system , anti-pick pins and hardened steel anti-drill pins . As no trap pins are included in the design , there is reduced risk of cylinder entrapment . There is a sacrificial snapline on the outside of the cylinder to protect against attack , but it is still possible to open the cylinder from the inside even if it has been attacked from the outside .
Each Kinetica + K4 cylinder is supplied with three unrestricted UAP Fullex Bio keys , which have been tested to ISO 22196:2011 standards and shown to reduce Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia col .
